Title: Queen’s Will Reveals Meghan’s Outburst and Edward’s Refusal of Royal Title
In a surprising revelation from the Queen’s will, it has been discovered that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had an outburst during discussions about the royal title.
Instead, the Queen appointed Sophie Wessex for the title that was eventually given to Kate Middleton.
Sophie Wessex, wife of the Queen’s youngest son, Edward, was initially offered the royal title that later went to Kate Middleton, but Edward stepped in and refused it.
Edward, 58, and Sophie, 57, shared a strong bond with the monarch before Her Majesty’s passing on 8 September.
The couple has been married since 1999 and was announced to become the Earl and Countess of Wessex following their wedding.

The decision to grant Edward the title of Earl, instead of Duke like his elder brothers, came as a surprise to the public.
However, it was Edward’s personal request to assume this role.
These titles had not been in use since the 11th century.
According to The Mirror, the Queen had initially offered Edward the title of Duke of Cambridge and Sophie the title of Duchess of Cambridge.
However, Edward declined the offer, and these titles were later bestowed upon Prince William and Kate Middleton upon their marriage in 2011.
The publication reports that Edward requested to be named after Lord Wessex, a character from his favorite film, Shakespeare in Love.
He liked the sound of the name and asked the Queen if he could have it instead.
Initially, it was announced that Edward would become the Duke of Edinburgh upon the death of his father and the accession of his elder brother.
However, recent reports suggest that the decision is now being questioned.
The title of Duke of Edinburgh was given to King Charles following the passing of Prince Philip.
With Charles now becoming King, the title is available to be given to another member of the royal family.
The final decision lies with the monarch.
Prince Edward recently spoke about the overwhelming emotions that the royal family has been experiencing since the Queen’s demise.
In a statement, he expressed gratitude for the nation’s outpouring of support and shared how the family has been touched by the public’s affection.
During a visit to Buckingham Palace, the Countess of Wessex brought joy to delighted children and well-wishers who had gathered outside.
Prince Edward explained his preference to stay away from crowds, but he and Sophie graciously shook hands with numerous mourners.
As they interacted with the public, royal fans expressed condolences for their losses.
