Royal Family Considers Stripping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of Titles
The royal family is reportedly considering removing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s titles, referring to them simply as Mr. and Mrs. Mountbatten-Windsor, according to a new book.
It has long been suggested that the couple should be stripped of their titles since they stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to California.
Mirror readers recently voted in a poll, with the majority agreeing that the Sussexes should lose their titles.
The book, “King Charles III” by Robert Jobson, reveals that the decision has been extensively discussed within the upper echelons of the family.
King Charles is said to be against removing Harry’s royal title and still holds deep affection for his son, despite making the decision that Meghan should not accompany Harry to Balmoral after the Queen’s passing.

However, other senior royals are less indulgent, and if Harry continues to criticize the monarchy, Charles may come under increasing pressure.
In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will lose their honorary military appointments and royal patronages.
This decision was made when they informed the Queen that they would not be returning to their roles as working royals.
Harry’s honorary military appointments, including Captain General of the Royal Marines, which he took over from his grandfather Prince Philip after 64 years, will be revoked.
He will also lose his patronage of the National Theatre, which was gifted to Meghan in 2019 and held for 45 years.
Buckingham Palace expressed sadness over their decision but stated that Meghan and Harry are still beloved members of the family.
In a statement, the palace confirmed that, following discussions with the Duke, the Queen has written to inform them that stepping away from royal duties means they can no longer fulfill the obligations and responsibilities that come with a life of public service.
As a result, their honorary military appointments and royal patronages will be returned to the Queen before being redistributed among other working members of the Royal Family.
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan emphasized their commitment to duty and service, stating that despite their official roles, they remain dedicated to serving the UK and the world.
They have also offered continued support to the organizations they have represented.
In conclusion, the possibility of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle losing their titles is being seriously considered by the royal family.
While King Charles is reportedly against this decision, other senior royals may push for it if Harry continues to criticize the monarchy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also lose their honorary military appointments and royal patronages in 2021.
Despite this, they remain committed to their duty and service, offering ongoing support to the organizations they represent.
