Many royal fans have been curious about the fate of Queen Elizabeth II’s extensive personal jewellery collection since her passing.

According to reports from Metro UK, the late monarch was buried wearing her wedding band and pearl earrings.

However, it is known that she owned over 300 pieces, including 34 pairs of earrings, 15 rings, and 98 brooches, as stated by the Daily Mail.

When the Queen was not wearing a particular piece, her jewellery was safely stored in the Queen’s gallery at Buckingham Palace.

Speculation has arisen regarding the distribution of the Queen’s possessions now that she has passed away.

It is believed that Queen Consort Camilla and the new Princess of Wales, Catherine, will inherit the majority of her collection.

Ingrid Stewart, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, revealed to the Daily Mail that the monarch had carefully decided who would receive which items years before her death at the age of 96.

Stewart further added that Camilla would likely receive a significant portion of the jewellery, as she would require a substantial collection to support her constitutional role.

However, other female members of the royal family, including Princess Anne, may also be considered for certain pieces.

It has recently come to light that Princess Anne has inherited a necklace that held a special place in the heart of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The necklace in question is a three-strand pearl necklace, gifted to the Queen by her father, King George VI.

Princess Anne was seen wearing this remarkable piece during her appearance at the English-speaking Union in New York, and it was truly dazzling.

She complemented the necklace with a stunning set of pearl earrings, creating a perfect ensemble.

This unique necklace symbolizes the close bond between Queen Elizabeth II and her father, who passed away in 1952.

Jeweller David Douglas explained that the Queen loved the three-strand pearl necklace so much that she had an identical one made.

In 1953, a third three-strand pearl necklace was added to her collection, gifted by the Emir of Qatar.

The only difference was that this version featured a diamond clasp.

Princess Anne is not the only member of the royal family who has had the privilege of wearing the Queen’s pearls since her passing.

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has also been spotted wearing one of the monarch’s three-strand pearl necklaces during a lunch reception at Buckingham Palace.

The palace confirmed that Catherine was indeed wearing lesser-spotted pearls from the Queen’s collection, believed to have been gifted to her by Prince William.

Catherine has consistently paid tribute to the late Queen by wearing her jewellery on various occasions, such as the Queen’s Coffin Procession, where she wore a brooch previously worn by the Queen during a visit to Seoul in 1999.

As the Queen’s personal jewellery collection continues to capture the attention of royal enthusiasts, the question of its future remains.
