Princess Catherine’s Parents Attend Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
Carol and Michael Middleton, the parents of Princess Catherine, paid their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II by attending her funeral at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19.
The couple arrived at the church two hours before the scheduled service, according to the Daily Mail.
Carol, 67, wore a black coat dress and hat, while her husband, 73, was dressed in a formal morning suit.
Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth on September 8, the Middletons, who have frequently attended royal occasions, posted a message on Instagram from the Party Pieces Company’s account.
They expressed their deep sadness and offered their heartfelt sympathy to the Royal Family.

The message acknowledged Queen Elizabeth’s dedication to serving the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth for over 70 years.
Over the years, the Middletons have received invitations to various family gatherings, including the christenings of their three grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Their presence at royal and family occasions has solidified their place within the family.
Despite rumors that they would not attend, the couple was cited at the Palace party for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
During the state funeral, as the Royal Family mourned the Queen, Princess Catherine acted as a rock for her two eldest children, who were also present at the services.
Meanwhile, Prince William fulfilled his role as the Queen’s grandson, walking behind her coffin as part of the procession.
Having her parents nearby provided Catherine with a source of comfort during this difficult time.
The Middleton family recently relocated from Kensington Palace in London to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
This move brings them closer to Carol and Michael, who play a significant role in the lives of their grandchildren.
Carol has previously shared glimpses into their family Christmas celebrations, emphasizing the importance of fun and excitement for the grandchildren.
Carol has also revealed her approach to gift-giving, preferring thoughtful presents over extravagant ones.
She encourages the grandchildren to get involved in gardening, providing them with their own tools and allowing them to appreciate nature firsthand.
During this period of adjustment, Carol and Michael’s presence will undoubtedly provide support for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis as they settle into their new home.
Experts on the Royal Family have noted Carol’s influence on Prince William, describing her as a second mother figure who has provided him with a sense of normalcy and support.
Angela Levin, a royal biographer, suggests that William adored his late mother, Princess Diana, but found solace and understanding in his relationship with Carol.
She describes how Carol made him feel secure and protected, allowing him to freely express himself without fear of judgment.
Prince William and Catherine view Carol as a stabilizing and supportive force, according to royal author Phil Dampier.
In the absence of Princess Diana, Prince William sees his mother-in-law as a second mother.
Her presence in their lives has undoubtedly played a significant role in their family dynamics.
As the Middleton family continues to navigate this time of transition, their close bond and support system will undoubtedly be a source of strength for all members.
The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II served as a moment for reflection and remembrance, highlighting the importance of family and unity during difficult times.
