In a bid to prove Meghan Markle wrong, Princess Catherine of Wales left an emotional note at a charity center, according to Daniela Elsa.

The Princess pinned a handwritten message to a tree at Hope Street in Southampton, a pilot project that allows low-level female offenders to serve their sentence in the community alongside their children instead of being incarcerated.

Catherine’s note read, “I see you and I’m with you.

Good luck in all that lies ahead, Catherine.”

This act drew comparisons to when Meghan and Harry visited One25, a charity aiding women in escaping s** work, addiction, and homelessness in 2019.

Elsa, a columnist for News Australia, highlighted the differences between the two visits.

She noted that one visit was planned and supported by the charity, while the other seemed spontaneous.

Catherine’s note was considered intelligent and thoughtful, while Meghan’s actions were criticized for their trite self-empowerment.

Elsa specifically mentioned Meghan’s choice to write messages on bananas with a sharpie pen during the 2019 trip.

Meghan had expressed her idea, saying, “Oh actually, do you have a sharpie marker?

I have an idea.”

She explained that she had seen a similar project in the United States where affirmations were written on bananas as part of a school lunch program.

Meghan took charge of the banana messaging and wrote, “You’re special and you’re strong” on each one.

However, this gesture received mixed reactions from the public, with some considering it a trivial move that failed to address the deeper issues faced by those in need.

Elsa argued that despite Meghan’s good intentions, the banana scribbling came across as cringe-worthy and performative.

It felt uncomfortable, with an excessive display of syrupy emotion conveniently performed in front of cameras.

Elsa emphasized that the two instances, Catherine’s note and Meghan’s banana messages, may appear similar on the surface but were fundamentally different in their nature and execution.

Meanwhile, public opinion of Meghan Markle in Britain has reached an all-time low, according to a recent poll.

The survey indicated that 68% of respondents held a negative view of Prince Harry’s wife, while only 21% had a positive view.

Meghan’s net favorability among the public has fallen to minus 47, the lowest it has ever been since 2017.

Comparing the results to April, Meghan’s positive view has decreased by three points, while the negative view has risen from 65% to 68%.

Prince Harry also faced negative sentiment from the British public, with almost 63% holding a total negative view of him, while 28% had a positive one.

In contrast, the late Queen Elizabeth II was viewed most positively, with an 80% popularity rating.

The Prince and Princess of Wales received favorability from 65% of respondents, and King Charles had a positive view from six in ten people, with a net favorability of 32, an improvement since April before his coronation.

The contrasting actions of Princess Catherine and Meghan Markle have sparked discussions about double standards and public perception.

While Catherine’s note was seen as a thoughtful gesture, Meghan’s banana messages were criticized for their perceived lack of substance.

These recent events have further contributed to the divide in public opinion towards the two royals.
