The Duke of Cambridge is reportedly “not a huge fan” of Prince Andrew, amid allegations that he ‘hoodwinked’ the Queen by failing to tell her that he was going to discuss the sexual scandal extensively in a catastrophic BBC interview.

Prince Andrew, 59, said he was stepping down from his royal responsibilities only days after the terrible interview aired.

The statement came after the Duke of York tried to address his connections to Epstein and the sexual accusations leveled against him in a BBC interview that has since been dubbed “one of the single worst PR moves in recent history,” Since the interview aired, Prince Andrew has stood down from royal duties, lost patronages, been kicked out of Buckingham Palace, and had his mother, Queen Elizabeth, cancel his birthday celebration.

Meghan Markle is said to be “horrified” by Andrew’s dismissal of the “teenage sex” accusations against him. And she isn’t the only royal who doesn’t want to be connected with Andrew—Prince William seems to be unhappy with his uncle’s conduct as well.

According to the Sunday Times (via Daily Mail), Will is “not a huge fan of his Uncle Andrew” and has discussed Andrew’s future position in the monarchy with the queen and his father, Prince Charles, as “William is becoming more and more involved in decisions about the institution.” Will, however, believes Andrew’s decision to stand down as the family’s representative was “the right thing to do.”

A source said, “There is no way the queen and her private secretary wrote a ‘yes’ on a memo that fully explained what was proposed.” “Andrew had a son-to-mother conversation, letting her know that he was planning to address the controversy, but without going into any details. What should have happened was the full palace process, where the interview proposal was placed under all the scrutiny and due diligence that usually takes place .”

Virginia Giuffre, an alleged Jeffrey Epstein victim who says she had under-age intercourse with the duke, which he vehemently rejects, will be featured on the BBC’s Panorama show in early December, adding to Andrew’s woes.

In reference to Virginia Roberts (now Virginia Giuffre), who claims she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York three times between 1999 and 2002 in London and on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean, he said, “I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”
