Prince William ‘can’t tolerate’ how Meghan Markle treated Kate Middleton
When the Duchess of Cambridge Kate seemed to publicly forgive Prince Harry after Prince Philip’s funeral, courtiers breathed a collective sigh of relief.
But according to reports, Prince William may struggle to forgive Meghan Markle for how she treated his wife Kate Middleton.

According to a top royal source who spoke to the Mail Online, although much has been made of Kate and Meghan’s problems, the greatest tension currently is between the Duchess of Sussex and William.
A senior royal insider said: ‘Much has been made of the troubles between Kate and Meghan, and William and Harry – but perhaps the biggest strains now exist between William and Meghan.
“First and foremost, William cannot countenance the way Meghan has treated his wife.
“Kate attempted to try and help Meghan understand the responsibilities of royal life, but her efforts were constantly misinterpreted.
Meghan, 39, accused the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, of making her cry in a dispute about flower girls’ gowns in the CBS interview, which has been viewed by over 17 million people since it originally aired in March.
“But to name Kate so publicly during the Oprah interview as the person who made her cry was beyond the pale. Meghan would have been acutely aware that Kate is powerless to fight back.”
‘Despite her growing confidence in public, Kate is a deeply sensitive woman who likes to stay behind-the-scenes as much as possible to support her family and the country. William thinks the way she has been treated is unfair.’
The Duchesses do not seem to have ever been close, and many attribute this to a cultural difference between Britain and the United States, but their animosity has outraged Prince William to the point that people close to them say that the relationship may not be salvageable.
The fact is that William had reservations about the pace of Harry’s relationship from the start.
Meghan’s “outing” of Kate on live television seems to have pushed William too far.
‘William soon began to wonder about some of Meghan’s traits and motivations,’ said another senior royal insider.
‘He was worried that at times she seemed to be more concerned about her personal progression or profile over the wider goals and aims of the Royal Family.
‘But he largely kept any reservations to himself as he desperately wanted her to be happy and appreciated the huge adjustment of entering the Royal Family.
‘Following Megxit though, everything changed. He could no longer hide his true feelings because he felt like she had publicly attempted to disrespect his family and the Queen.’
