In 2007, Prince William and Kate Middleton made headlines when they decided to part ways.

While the public was aware of their split, the details surrounding it have only recently come to light.

At the time, William was stationed with the cavalry regiment in Dorset, while Kate resided in London.

With their busy schedules, the couple struggled to spend quality time together, ultimately leading to their breakup.

The prince later revealed that they were both trying to find their own paths and needed some space.

However, according to Christopher Anderson, the author of the book “William and Kate: A Royal Love Story,” there may have been another factor that contributed to their separation.

Anderson suggests that Camilla, Charles’ wife and the current queen consort, played a significant role in the breakup.

Allegedly, Camilla did not view Kate as a suitable match for the future king due to her working-class background.

Camilla, who herself took pride in her connection to Alice Keppel, the mistress of Edward VII, reportedly expressed her doubts about Kate’s worthiness to Charles.

In response, Charles presented William with a choice: either propose to Kate or let her go.

While their relationship did not completely fall apart at that moment, the spark between them had faded, and William ultimately chose the latter option.

He moved on from the breakup by indulging in the nightlife, surrounded by beautiful women.

Meanwhile, Kate also found solace in the company of friends, although this period proved to be challenging for her.

Reflecting on the separation years later, Kate acknowledged that it had made her stronger and helped her prioritize her life.
