Dr. Hilary Jones has expressed his concerns over Prince Harry’s recent interviews, suggesting that the Duke of Sussex may have become too focused on his victimhood after receiving extensive therapy.

The doctor shared his opinion on Good Morning Britain Today, following Prince Harry’s candid discussion about mental health on a podcast with Dax Shepard and ahead of the release of his new documentary, The Me You Can’t See, co-created with Oprah Winfrey.

During the show, Dr. Hilary addressed the fallout from Prince Harry’s interviews, with some accusing him of taking yet another swipe at his father, Prince Charles.

He referred to comments made by NHS psychiatrist Dr. Max Pemberton, who suggested that Prince Harry might be over-analyzing his troubles.

Dr. Hilary agreed with this perspective, stating, “Actually, it rang bells with me.

Because if you become totally focused on your own victimhood, you never escape from it, and I think there is a risk of that perhaps being played out here.”

The doctor also expressed concern that Prince Harry’s emphasis on therapy could inadvertently discourage people from seeking help.

“It would be a terrible irony if in destigmatizing therapy he actually puts people off therapy,” Dr. Hilary remarked.

Co-host Susanna Reid echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of individuals receiving the support they need.

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan, former host of Good Morning Britain, criticized Prince Harry’s actions, labeling him a “whiny little brat” and accusing him of publicly disparaging his family.

Piers’ remarks came after the release of a trailer for Apple TV’s documentary on mental health, which features Prince Harry and other celebrities like Lady Gaga sharing their personal experiences.
