Following his recent interview in which he was accused of tossing his family “under the bus” a royal biographer has claimed that Prince Harry has been “brainwashed.”

After Prince Harry’s explosive appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, when he compared being a member of the Royal Family to being in The Truman Show, Angela Levin talked to Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on Good Morning Britain.

The biographer, who spent a year researching a book on the Duke, 36, claims he’s “not an idiot” but has been “brainwashed as a victim”

She said that since leaving the Royal Family, Prince Harry has been presenting himself as a “victim”, saying:

“Their nonsense about compassion to those you know and those you don’t know, which is a favourite phrase, is meaningless.

“They’re not compassionate, he’s not trying to understand.

“I think it’s terrible, it’s absolutely disgusting, to be honest… I have to say that I don’t think it’s very good that you don’t let your son have any contact with your family,” she fumed about his interview.

“It is unspeakably, ruthlessly cruel.”

“When I spent over a year with him, he was terrific.

“He was positive – he had issues but they didn’t identify him as a victim. And now he seems to have had this terrible brainwash

“He’s number one victim.”

Angela Levin spent a year with Harry writing A Biography of a Prince, which was released in 2018.

Angela disagreed with Kate Garraway’s assertion that Prince Harry didn’t intend to cast the blame at his family.

“I think he knows exactly what he wants to say and he wants to hurt them to punish them because he feels they have wronged him and they have wronged Meghan” she said.

“I think it’s shocking and terribly upsetting.”

“People keep saying that he’s an idiot but I don’t think he is.

“The fact they tend to give anything they hear or say to the Royal Family to friends of Meghan’s who report it to social media is a way of killing off the bonding and working towards something positive.

Ms Levin also advised Prince Harry to be cautious in his remarks so that he can restore his ties with the Royal Family.

“These things are very delicate, you can’t repair such terrible damage in sort of 20 minutes especially at your grandfather’s funeral.

“They can’t trust him anymore. Whatever they say, even if they creep in slowly and gently, if that gets passed on you can’t bond you can’t heal.”

Ben Shephard previously criticized Prince Harry on the program, saying, “He’s been a parent for five minutes, what’s he doing talking about being a parent, telling people – that’s the thing I find really, really difficult.”

“The thing we really liked about Harry was that he was so normal and down to earth and there’s something that has happened. His father buried his own father just a few weeks ago! I can’t imagine how impossibly difficult that has been for the whole family.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to stir up debate with their public talks on podcasts and television, and they remain a contentious subject with GMB viewers.

“As Harry & Meghan didn’t want publicity, only privacy, you should stop giving them air time!” one Twitter user said.
