Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen looking joyful and content as they made their first public appearance since being asked to leave their UK residence, Frogmore Cottage.

The couple was captured in photos published by MailOnline, with smiles on their faces, holding hands, and sharing laughter as they exited an office building in Santa Barbara on Friday.

Both Harry and Meghan opted for casual attire, with Harry sporting a cap and sunglasses, while Meghan paired a white shirt with brown shorts and a cream sunhat.

The building they left houses various businesses, including a karate studio, hair salon, Pilates studio, and the self-inquiry life fellowship, which promotes high yoga and Himalayan meditation.

Accompanying them was an unidentified man, presumably a member of their security team.

This public appearance signifies their official departure from Frogmore Cottage, their former UK home, after being asked to vacate the property earlier this year by King Charles.

Frogmore Cottage, a Crown Estate property, was a gift from Queen Elizabeth to the Sussexes following their marriage.

The couple invested £2.4 million in refurbishments for the house.

However, the spotlight has recently been on Harry and Meghan’s future outside the royal family, especially following the loss of their Spotify deal and the swirling rumors about their partnership with Netflix.

Since stepping down as working royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan have secured significant deals with prominent names in the entertainment industry.

However, it was recently announced that they would no longer be producing new content for Spotify.

In a joint statement, the parties expressed pride in their collaborative work, which currently consists of only one series of Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes.

Rumors suggest that the couple is now set to develop a new series with Netflix based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel, Great Expectations.

This potential project comes after the success of their documentary series, Harry Meghan, which premiered in December last year.

Royal commentator Alison Boshoff shared insights into the couple’s Hollywood ambitions, stating that Meghan, who recently signed a management deal with renowned Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel at WME, is actively pursuing creative and commercial opportunities.

The deal was solely for Meghan, not including Harry, and is considered a significant achievement.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Harry is gravitating back towards charity and campaigning work.
