Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Asked to Vacate Frogmore Cottage as Prince Andrew Takes Their Place

In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage by Archwell, the foundation established by the couple.

The statement released by the foundation confirmed the news, stating that the Duke and Duchess have been requested to leave the residence.

This development comes after reports that King Charles had asked the couple to move out in January, following the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare.

The book was heavily critical of royals and made damning allegations against some of the firm’s most senior members.

Despite permanently relocating to California with their young family in 2020, the Sussexes continued to stay at Frogmore whenever they traveled to the UK.

However, it seems this will no longer be an option for them, as a property has been offered to Prince Andrew instead.

Prince Andrew has been living at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, part of the Crown Estate, for over 20 years.

As part of the King’s money-saving measures for the monarchy, Prince Andrew is having his annual $249,000 subsidy cut.

This reduction would leave the Duke of York struggling to afford reimbursements on the $30 million property, which are his responsibility as part of the tenancy agreement.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan spent $2.4 million on renovations in Frogmore Cottage when they moved in, a cost initially covered by the taxpayer before Harry repaid the amount in full.

The couple have reportedly already begun having their belongings at Frogmore transported to their home in Montecito, where they live with their children Archie, 3, and little Beth, 1.

However, Prince Andrew is reportedly resisting leaving the Royal Lodge as he doesn’t want to downsize.

This leaves the Sussexes without a permanent UK home, despite Frogmore Cottage being a gift to them from the late Queen following their marriage.

An insider told The Sun, “The eviction surely spells the end of Harry’s and Meghan’s time in the UK.

Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week, but it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.”

This latest development adds to the already strained relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal family.

Harry and Meghan have been vocal about their struggles within the institution, alleging they faced racism and neglect from the firm.

Their decision to step back as senior royals and move to America has been viewed by some as a betrayal of their duties.

The news has generated a lot of interest and speculation amongst the public and media alike.

Many are questioning the motivations behind the decision to offer Prince Andrew a property, especially given the ongoing controversy surrounding his association with convicted s** offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Others are wondering what this means for the future of the monarchy, as it appears the younger generation of royals are increasingly distancing themselves from traditional roles.

Whatever the outcome, it’s clear that the drama surrounding the Royal family is far from over.

The eviction of Prince Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage, coupled with the possibility of Prince Andrew taking their place, is just the latest chapter in a long-running saga that shows no signs of ending any time soon.
