Meghan Markle Slammed for Trying to Emulate Princess Diana for Financial Gain
Lady fellows and critics have expressed their disapproval of Meghan Markle’s attempts to emulate Princess Diana in order to profit financially.
The Duchess of Sussex has been repeatedly seen using pictures of her late sister-in-law to promote herself, which has sparked anger and criticism from those who believe she is trying to become the next “Diana 2.0” for monetary gain.
This comes amidst rumors that the Sussexes also plan to adopt the Spencer family name to further exploit Diana’s legacy.
Renowned royal biographer Angela Levin has strongly criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s potential move to rebrand themselves with Princess Diana’s last name, Spencer, dismissing it as absurd.
Levin, author of the biography “Harry: A Biography of a Prince,” believes that the couple is attempting to divert attention from their recent Spotify deal controversy, which involved a $20 million agreement.

In an interview with GB News host Dan Wooden, Levin stated, “I think it’s a load of nonsense actually.
I think it’s another thing when something is on the front pages about them, they come up with something else so that they can divert the discussion.
I think it’s nonsense.

Levin questioned why the Sussexes would choose to associate themselves with Diana when Meghan never even had the opportunity to meet her.
She argued that it made no sense for them to adopt a name that holds such significance without any personal connection.
While Meghan did pay her respects at Diana’s grave, Levin believes that Diana would have disliked Meghan if she were alive today.
According to Levin, Meghan’s support for the monarchy is not in line with Diana’s views, as the late princess was raised to prioritize the preservation of the monarchy and even had tea with Queen Elizabeth alongside her family.
“She said to both of her sons that this is very important that we keep the monarchy going,” Levin stated.
However, Meghan has reportedly encouraged Harry to distance himself from his royal heritage.
The comparison between Princess Diana and Meghan Markle has been a topic of discussion since Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry became public.
Some authors and experts have suggested that Harry sees Meghan as an emotional substitute for his late mother.
In Tom Bauer’s book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors,” it is revealed that Harry hoped Diana’s sisters and close friends would see the similarities he saw between Meghan and his mother.
However, they did not share the same perspective, with Earl Spencer, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Baroness Jane Fellowes, and Julia Samuel reportedly expressing doubts about Meghan’s ability to fit into the royal family.
It appears that Meghan’s attempts to align herself with Diana’s legacy have not been well-received by those who knew and loved the late princess.
Critics argue that Meghan’s actions are driven by financial gain rather than genuine admiration for Diana.
As the controversy surrounding the Sussexes continues, it remains to be seen how their rebranding efforts will be received by the public and the royal family.
