Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has long been a fan of American clothing retailer J.Crew.

Known for its preppy fashion and timeless pieces, the brand aligns perfectly with Meghan’s fondness for high-end casual clothing.

However, her recent request for a special outfit for her daughter’s birthday was turned down by the brand.

According to an insider, J.Crew declined Meghan’s request due to the controversies surrounding her.

The Duchess and Prince Harry wore their J.Crew outfits during their highly publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey, which received significant criticism from royal fans.

This decision by J.Crew comes as a surprise, considering Meghan’s previous support for the brand.

Meghan’s party for her son Archie is expected to be an intimate gathering of close friends and family.

In the past, the couple has opted for private celebrations, with only a social media post and charity advocacy to mark special occasions.

However, this year’s birthday celebration seems to hold more significance, making Meghan’s request for a unique dress understandable.

Interestingly, J.Crew has chosen Princess Charlotte to be their kid ambassador.

After Charlotte wore a J.Crew dress in a photo with the late Queen Elizabeth, the dress quickly sold out.

The photo, taken by Kate Middleton, was released to commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 97th birthday.

Princess Charlotte stood right behind the Queen, wearing a striking red floral dress, while other great-grandchildren wore blue or green tones.

The J.Crew dress worn by Princess Charlotte in the photograph is called the “girl’s floral long-sleeve smock dress.”

Although it is from a past season and no longer available, a similar version in an orange floral print can still be purchased for £89.

Royal fans took to social media to express their admiration for Princess Charlotte’s style, with many praising the J.Crew dress.

During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also showcased their love for J.Crew.

Prince Harry wore a grey J.Crew suit, specifically the Ludlow slim fit suit jacket with double vent and Italian wool in geyser grey.

This suit has been a staple in his wardrobe, worn on multiple public occasions, including the introduction of baby Archie and his son’s christening.

Meghan, on the other hand, opted for a black Armani dress for the main sit-down talk with Winfrey.

However, while giving a tour of their chicken coop, she sported a more outdoorsy look, complete with hunter boots and a lightweight jacket from J.Crew.

Despite Meghan’s previous affinity for J.Crew, the brand’s refusal to fulfill her request for her daughter’s birthday outfit highlights the impact of recent controversies.

It remains to be seen how this rejection will affect Meghan’s fashion choices in the future, but one thing is clear – J.Crew’s decision has caused quite a stir among royal fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
