Meghan Markle and Prince Harry To Be Invited To Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Multiple sources tell Page Six that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “absolutely” on the Queen’s invite list for her Platinum Jubilee — and will not be “iced out.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may no longer be working members of the British monarchy, but they appear to be welcome to return to the royal fold at any moment, particularly to commemorate key family milestones.
With Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee approaching, all eyes are once again on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and whether the couple will be invited to celebrate the milestone. According to royal insiders, the pair will not be ‘iced out’ of the festivities of Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.
One source told Page Six: “Of course they’re invited, it’s a family event!”
The pair, who have left the royal family stunned with a regular stream of accusations about their dreadful time within palace walls, are due to return to the UK next year to mark Her Majesty’s 70th year on the throne.

Not only are Harry and Meghan scheduled to attend the four-day celebrations, but the family is also excited to welcome the couple’s new baby girl, who is due to arrive in the coming weeks.
That insider also mentioned that both Harry and Prince William wore their Jubilee medals at Prince Philip’s burial, and another source agreed with the family’s wish to see Archie and the infant, noting that “so much” may change in a year.
Speculations over whether the pair would attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee follow Prince Harry’s reported icy treatment during his previous visit to the UK to honor his grandpa, Prince Philip’s, burial. The Duke of Sussex supposedly returned without having any one-on-one conversations with his brother or father, Prince Charles, with a Firm mediator constantly present.
An insider had previously revealed that the historic Platinum Jubilee was posing a dilemma for palace staffers entrusted with organizing it.
“Harry wants to be there,” they told the Sun.
“It is already causing a headache and is going to be very awkward.
“Where will they be positioned if they turn up? What events can they attend?
“Will we put them on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast?”
“This is a celebration for the Queen’s 70 years of service to the nation and should not be overshadowed.”
On Wednesday, it was revealed that a four-day weekend, including a reception at Buckingham Palace, will be held to commemorate the Jubilee in June 2022.
The customary Trooping the Colour event will take place on Thursday, followed by the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee beacons. The rest of the weekend will feature a Thanksgiving Service, an Epsom Downs derby, a special live performance at Buckingham Palace, and a Platinum Jubilee Pageant involving over 5,000 individuals from around the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
The Jubilee celebrations will most likely be the couple’s first return to Harry’s hometown together since they abruptly left the royal family in 2020 and relocated to California.
Archie has only met his cousins, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children — Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 6, and 3-year-old Prince Louis — a few times before traveling to the United States.
Things had soured amongst the family members when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey in which they discussed their desire to stand aside from their Royal duties. Here, the two shed some light on the Royal Firm’s operations and leveled a number of claims, including hints of racism in the family, causing a tremendous outrage.
Since her grandson relinquished his senior royal post a year ago, Queen Elizabeth has made it quite clear that Harry and his wife will always have a home at Buckingham Palace.
Following the couple’s shocking interview with Oprah earlier this year, the queen released a statement saying, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
