Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Spotted Smiling Amidst Controversy

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were seen in Santa Barbara, California, seemingly unbothered by recent controversies surrounding their career moves.

The couple, who recently ended their partnership with Spotify, were spotted leaving an office building, holding hands and sharing laughter.

Accompanying them was a bodyguard who inadvertently revealed the couple’s heated argument.

It appears that Meghan had hired paparazzi to take PR pictures, which angered Harry due to his deep-seated disdain for them, stemming from his mother Princess Diana’s tragic death in a car crash involving paparazzi.

Despite the tension between them, Meghan managed to maintain a smile for the cameras, while Harry appeared visibly annoyed.

Witnesses reported that the argument continued in the car after the paparazzi left, with Harry displaying fury and Meghan seemingly unconcerned about his feelings.

Meghan was dressed in a white button-up shirt tucked into brown shorts, complemented by a white hat, sunglasses, and layered bracelets.

On the other hand, Prince Harry opted for a casual look, sporting a polo shirt, baseball cap, and shades.

This staged outing comes shortly after Spotify terminated their $20 million deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following just one season of Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes.

Questions have also been raised about the future of their $100 million partnership with Netflix.

The couple has reportedly attributed their setbacks to a series of unfortunate events, including the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ill health and subsequent deaths of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth.

In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step away from their royal duties, months before the world went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over a year later, they sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a revealing interview, where they openly discussed their unhappiness within the royal family.

The following month, Prince Philip passed away at the age of 99.

In August 2022, Meghan launched her podcast Archetypes, but its success was overshadowed by the death of Queen Elizabeth the following month.

Consequently, Spotify’s deal with the couple fell apart.

Insiders have revealed that the couple failed to produce enough content to receive their full $20 million payout from Spotify.

Additionally, Harry’s pitch for a podcast series, which included interviewing Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump about their childhood traumas, left Spotify executives puzzled.

The couple has also faced criticism from industry figures, with Spotify executive Bill Simmons labeling them as lazy and grifters, and UTA agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer calling Meghan untalented, despite alleged attempts by his agents to sign her.

PR expert Edward Corum James expressed concerns that the termination of their contracts could have a negative impact on the Sussexes’ future career prospects.

It remains to be seen what type of deals they will secure moving forward.

Despite the challenges they have faced, Meghan and Harry continue to forge their own path outside of the royal family, determined to make their mark in the private sector.
