In a bid to ensure the success of their deal with Netflix, Megan Markle and Prince Harry have brought on board Tracy Ryerson, an ex-reality star.

Ryerson has been appointed as the new head of scripted content at Archworld Productions, the couple’s production company.

Speculation is rife that the Sussexes are planning to pitch a feminist-focused prequel to Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations to Netflix, centering around the iconic character Miss Havisham, the jilted bride.

This news comes after the couple faced disappointment when their lucrative Spotify deal was cancelled following the release of just one podcast series.

Tracy Ryerson, also known as T-Ry among friends, rose to fame in the United States through her appearance on the reality series The Real L Word.

With Netflix having signed the couple for a reported $100 million last year, it is believed that Archworld is actively seeking writers to develop feel-good shows, including romantic comedies, for the streaming giant.

However, there are rumors circulating that Netflix may be reconsidering their partnership with the Sussexes, given the recent setback with Spotify.

According to a close friend of Tracy Ryerson, she initially felt positive about working for Archworld Productions.

However, her experience quickly turned sour when Megan Markle demanded that she work grueling 18-hour days.

This took a toll on Tracy both mentally and physically.

Sources describe Megan as difficult and demanding, expecting her staff to generate numerous ideas and meet Netflix deadlines while she contributed very little.

Working with the couple has proven to be a headache for Archworld staff, leading many to leave the company.

Tracy Ryerson’s hiring appears to be a last-ditch effort to salvage the Netflix deal, but skeptics question her qualifications, considering the departure of more experienced professionals from the company.

Furthermore, it seems that Megan Markle is keen to expand her reach and capitalize on the LGBTQ+ community for her new project.

There are suggestions that Tracy Ryerson, who identifies as a lesbian herself, has been enlisted to develop a show featuring a prominent lesbian character.

Prior to joining Archworld Productions, Ryerson served as the head of TV for Rare Birds, the production company behind the hit series Peaky Blinders.

On social media, she describes herself as a TV producer, occasional actress, and devoted “Instamom.”

The Real L Word, the reality show that propelled Tracy Ryerson into the spotlight, chronicled the lives of a group of lesbian and bisexual women in Los Angeles over four seasons, concluding in 2012.

While the hiring of Ryerson may be perceived as a desperate move by some, Megan Markle and Prince Harry are undoubtedly hoping that her fresh perspective and background will breathe new life into their Netflix partnership.

Only time will tell if this gamble pays off and if the couple can deliver the enjoyable and popular content they aspire to create.
