Meg Green is feeling a tinge of envy as Edward Eninful extends his congratulations to Catherine, who has just won her first Oscar award.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s photograph has been honored with an Oscar of the magazine world, gracing the cover of British magazine Country Life last summer.

The Professional Publishers Association of the UK recently announced that this picture of Queen Camilla captured by Princess Kate has won the prestigious “Cover of the Year” title at the PPA Awards.

Country Life magazine, in celebration of this achievement, took to Instagram to pay tribute to the winning cover and acknowledge Princess Kate’s contribution.

They expressed their delight in winning the “Cover of the Year” title at the PPA Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the magazine world.

The winning cover, featured in the 13th July 2022 issue, was guest-edited by Her Majesty the Queen during her time as the Duchess of Cornwall.

The magazine team reposted the award-winning cover, expressing their gratitude to the readers for voting and extending their appreciation to HRH Catherine, the Princess of Wales, for her photography skills.

The judges’ comment on the PPA site revealed that Camilla’s cover became the fastest-selling issue in the history of Country Life.

Former British Vogue editor Edward Eninful, who won the 2020 PPA Editor of the Year award in the consumer category, took to his Instagram story to congratulate Catherine, referring to her as the most inspiring Queen ever.

Eninful has previously expressed his admiration for the Princess, especially when she graced the cover of British Vogue’s centenary edition.

He commended her graceful growth and transformation in the fashion world, which has been widely reported on in recent years.

Her style serves as an inspiration to many, as she manages to stay relatable while retaining her core values.

Eninful’s interactions with members of the royal family extend beyond Catherine.

He shares a close relationship with Queen Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Sophie Countess of Wessex, wife of Prince Edward.

All these royals actively support and patronize the British fashion industry.

However, Eninful abruptly severed ties with Duchess Meghan after a collaboration between them failed.

Meghan Markle was accused of replicating the cover design from the book “The Game Changers,” which she had contributed to.

The cover of Vogue’s “Forces for Change” issue featured a black and white grid of 15 inspirational women, bearing a resemblance to Bret and Steph Adams’ “The Game Changers,” published three years prior.

Last summer, Camilla was invited to guest edit a special edition of a weekly magazine in honor of her 75th birthday on July 17th.

During discussions about potential cover images, Country Life editor Mark Hedges sought the opinion of the then Duchess of Cornwall.

To his surprise, she immediately responded, “Oh, I’d quite like Catherine to do it.”

Hedges admitted that he initially struggled to recall a professional photographer named Catherine, but soon realized that she was referring to Princess Kate.

He described this request as one of the most incredible things that could happen and eagerly agreed.

Clarence House also released a behind-the-scenes snapshot of Kate behind the camera, fully focused on her work, with her hair tied back in a ponytail and a camera in her hand.
