Margot Robbie claims people are ‘outraged’ by Her Age

According to Margot Robbie, many people are “outraged” to learn that she is just 24 years old since they had assumed she was a “decade” older.

She already has a great filmography, having been in The Wolf of Wall Street by Martin Scorsese, About Time by Richard Curtis, and Suicide Squad. All of which parts came before she turned 25.

The blonde stunner poses in sexy leopard print and lace on the cover of the most recent issue of Elle Magazine while discussing ageism.

The actress, who turned 25 on July 2, remarks in the August edition of Elle magazine, “People seem outraged that I’m 24.”

The actress who co-stars with Robbie in the newest movie Fun House, Tina Fey, believes that the actress’s versatility makes the star seem older.

Fey said: “Like a lot of actors who got their start on soap operas – Julianne Moore, Alec [Baldwin] – Margot makes great, strong choices but then is still very quick and flexible.”

The Australian star has two other big movies lined up for 2016: Suicide Squad, alongside an all-star cast of Will Smith, Ben Affleck and Jared Leto, and a Tarzan reboot, in which she’ll play Jane with Alexander Skarsgaard.

While Robbie is game to discuss her age, one aspect of her life that she prefers to keep guarded is her romance with boyfriend Tom Ackerley.

The duo met and fell in love while working together on the World War II-era romantic drama Suite Française.

All she would say about her boyfriend was: “He was a third [assistant director], he’s now working as a second AD, and that’s, yeah.”

She also told Marie Claire recently: “I am officially off the market,” adding: “I made a conscious decision not to date actors.”

Robbie isn’t so career-focused that she misses out on fun stuff like other gals her age. According to Simon Van Zuylen-Wood, who interviewed Robbie for Elle, she and her longtime BFF/personal assistant Sophia happily rapped along to “a rather filthy Lil Wayne song” without missing a single word.

Robbie, whose break-out role was in The Wolf of Wall Street opposite heavyweight Leonardo DiCaprio, poses in a brand new shoot for the fashion magazine.

The star poses in a number of ensembles including a Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane dress, a Louis Vuitton dress and belt and a Bottega Veneta dress.

The Australian star also tells the mag about Rat Rat, the pet rat given to her Jared Leto’s Suicide Squad character. According to Robbie, she kept the rat because, “If Harley [her character in Suicide Squad] got something from Joker [Leto’s character], she’d probably cherish it.”
