Actor Jon Hamm and “Saturday Night Live” star Kristen Wiig got to spend half a day filming a steamy s=x scene for their upcoming comedy “Bridesmaids.”

The Mad Men hunk praised Wiig’s sense of humor in an interview with Access Hollywood, crediting her with making an otherwise awkward scene enjoyable.

“It’s not a lot of fun rolling around in front of 30 or 40 crew members in a flesh-colored thong but we did have a lot of fun,” he said. “We had a lot of jokes and a lot of laughs, and I’m sure a lot of that will end up on the DVD somewhere.”

“I’m such a big fan of Kristen and she’s so wonderful to film. From hosting [Saturday Night Live] and from being around her and the SNL crowd – it was so much fun. She’s just a great person, so it was really nice to do that kind of thing with [her].”

Regarding the filming of her romp with Jon, Kristen said to Access Hollywood,  “I remember, it was our last day of shooting and I mean, it’s so silly. It was more funny than anything. We’re like, ‘How else can he throw me around?’”

“It was like, ‘This is my job! What’s happening?!” she continued with a laugh.

And, in news that will make Don Draper admirers green with envy, shooting the sexy rendezvous required 12 hours of filming and “lots of different positions.”

However, Kristen said hooking up “Mad Men’s” favorite playboy wasn’t as exciting as fans of the AMC series may imagine.

“[Jon] is like my brother,” Kristen told Access. “He really is!”

When MTV News recently caught up with the “Bridesmaids” cast, plus producer Judd Apatow and director Paul Feig and asked them to comment on the use of handsome Jon Hamm for not-so-sexy s=x.

“He’s usually the guy you call for awkward s=x scenes,” Rudolph quipped.

“Judd met with him and told him about it; I talked to him and sent him the script,” Wiig explained of getting Hamm aboard. “We were like, ‘We’re not quite sure what your character is going to be yet, it’s not fully fleshed out yet,’ and he was such a trouper and signed on. And then we were like, ‘OK, now we’re doing a s=x scene!’ ” Wiig said with a giggle.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody play such a slimy jerk but be like, ‘Hey! It’s cool!’ ” scene-stealer Melissa McCarthy said of Hamm’s method of making a jerk impossible to hate. “It’s the weirdest energy. It’s so good and weird.”

“All we know is that we want his s=x to be as bad as ours,” Apatow joked.

“We’re trying to bring him down to our level, the handsomest man in the world,” Feig added. “I’d worked with Jon before on ‘Mad Men,’ Kristen worked with him on ‘SNL,’ Judd knows him, we all know he’s one of the funniest guys in the world, [and] he embraced this with such a gusto,” he said. “The stuff we had him doing, we should be arrested.”

“Most of the time we had no film; it was just for the ladies to take runs at him,” Apatow continued, tongue-in-cheek.

“Mixing and matching, we like to say,” Feig said. “Let’s see who he goes best with.”

Bridesmaids opens on May 13 in the US and on June 24 in the UK.

Apart from Kristen and Jon, the film stars “SNL” alum Maya Rudolph, Rose Bryne and Ellie Kemper of “The Office” fame, in “Bridesmaids,”
