Jeremy Zimmer, the Chief Executive of United Talent Agency, has delivered a scathing verdict on Meghan Markle, the talent expert known for guiding stars like Damian Lewis and Benedict Cumberbatch.

This verdict comes shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s multi-million pound deal with Spotify came to an end.

The couple had signed the lucrative deal in 2020, just a few months after their royal exit.

Speaking at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France, Mr. Zimmer expressed his opinion on Meghan’s talent, stating that she was not a great audio talent or any kind of talent for that matter.

He emphasized that being famous does not automatically make someone great at something.

Earlier this month, Spotify and the Sussex’s own company, Archwell, released a joint statement announcing the termination of their deal by mutual consent.

The statement highlighted that both parties were proud of the series they had created together.

The series referred to Meghan’s 12-episode podcast, Archetypes, which was launched last year.

The first episode featured tennis professional Serena Williams as a guest, and each subsequent episode saw Meghan joined by a different female guest, exploring the labels that hold women back.

Despite having several guests on the podcast, it has been reported that some declined Meghan’s invitation to appear on Archetypes.

The Wall Street Journal revealed that US singer Taylor Swift politely declined Meghan’s personal letter to be a guest on the show.

Interestingly, the first and only series of Archetypes was released almost two years after the couple signed the massive deal with Spotify.

According to Variety, it is believed that Spotify had expected more content from the couple, which may have contributed to their willingness to part ways with the Sussex’s.

Although the Spotify deal has come to an end, the Sussex’s still hold other deals with Penguin Random House and Netflix, both of which were also signed in 2020.
