Jamie Lynn Spears’ publisher is stepping in to amend ‘inaccurate and incomplete’ details regarding her upcoming memoir, according to the publisher.

“Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, became aware earlier today that premature information about Jamie Lynn Spears’s still-in-development book project has been erroneously released online to book retail sites,” a statement from Worth Publishing read.

“We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family,” the statement added.

On July 9, the 30-year-old Zoey 101 alum’s memoir was titled ‘I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out’ on Hachette Book Group’s since-revised listings on Amazon and other websites. The first three lines of the title are a phrase from Britney’s first hit, “…Baby One More Time,” which catapulted her to worldwide prominence.

The ‘as-yet-untitled’ memoir will be released in January 2022, according to Worthy Publishing.

“Jamie Lynn’s book has been in development over the past 12 months and will allow the world to hear her inspiring story in her own words, for the first time,” their statement said. “We look forward to sharing accurate and complete details about the project at the appropriate time and to celebrating the release of her memoir with Jamie Lynn and her fans next year.”

Jamie Lynn hasn’t said anything about her new book, which was originally titled Southern Roots: Owning My Story with Love, Faith, and Hope.

The former Nickelodeon star ‘shares never-before-heard stories that are at times funny, inspiring, messy and uncomfortable. Like having her mom’s credit card declined at Limited Too when her sister was on the radio. How it feels to have inspired 16 And Pregnant with her own life story. Why her daughter’s ATV accident caused her to reevaluate and redirect her life. And why her family is just like any other family.’

Jamie Lynn’s biography comes after she commented on her sister Britney’s conservatorship less than a week ago. The Sweet Magnolias star claimed in numerous videos on her Instagram Story that she has and “always will support” Britney, who gave an impassioned address to a Los Angeles court late last month requesting to have her conservatorship terminated.

The actress stated she had only “loved, adored, and supported” her elder sister personally, rather than publicly.

She said: “I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way.”

The book is now available for pre-order, with the official publication date set for January 18, 2022.
