Harry’s Plea to Film with William for Diana’s Award Video Rejected
Prince William and Prince Harry, in separate videos, celebrated young changemakers with the Diana Award, an annual honor dedicated to their late mother.
However, hopes of a reconciliation between the brothers were dashed as William refused Harry’s request to film together.
Royal experts view this as a discouraging sign for the possibility of resolving their differences.
While William, known as the Duke of Cambridge, opened the virtual ceremony, Harry, founder of the Invictus Games, introduced the award winners.
William acknowledged the power of young people to inspire meaningful change, congratulating the recipients and commending their character, passion, and determination.

He emphasized their role as inspirations for youth worldwide.
The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, also congratulated the award recipients, highlighting the significance of organizations like the Diana Award.
He emphasized that investing in young people and providing them with tools and opportunities can truly make a difference, a belief shared by his late mother, Princess Diana.
Echoing his brother’s sentiments, Harry reflected on Diana’s belief in the transformative power of young people.
He recognized their ability to challenge societal norms and advocate for a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Harry expressed how his mother’s legacy continues to inspire, guiding him in navigating the complexities of today’s world.
The Diana Award ceremony took place on the eve of what would have been her 62nd birthday.
Princess Diana tragically passed away at the age of 36 in 1997.
In July 2021, Harry and William momentarily set aside their differences to attend a memorial for Diana, unveiling a statue of her at Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden.
The sculpture, created by artist Ian Rank Bradley, depicts Diana standing alongside three children.
The statue bears an inscription from the spiritual book, The Measure of a Man, which emphasizes the value of a person based on their heart and actions rather than their birth or social status.
The ongoing feud between Prince William and Prince Harry has been a topic of discussion for years.
Reports suggest that the rift began in November 2018 when Harry felt that his brother did not welcome his wife, Meghan, with open arms.
These rumors marked the beginning of the now-infamous row that has strained their relationship both publicly and privately.
