Harry and Meghan’s Claims About the Royal Family Disproved

In a shocking turn of events, one of the Sussex’s most damaging claims about the royal family has been proven false, leading to further trouble for the couple.

Welcome to Kate Middleton and the Queen News Channel.

Throughout their highly publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex emphasized the importance of truth.

Meghan stated, “I think it’s really important for people to understand the truth.”

However, recent developments have cast doubt on their own commitment to the truth.

During their interview, the word “truth” was mentioned 11 times, causing a seismic shift within the monarchy.

Ironically, since then, the Sussexes’ relationship with the truth has become increasingly complicated.

This week, a series of new stories have shed light on this issue.

The royal family’s annual official spending reports were released on Thursday, revealing that Prince Charles had continued to financially support Harry and Meghan after their departure from royal life.

This contradicts the picture painted by the couple during their interview with Oprah.

A senior spokesman for Clarence House has confirmed that “the Prince of Wales allocated a substantial sum to support them in making the transition from working members of the royal family to civilian life.”

The exact amount of this substantial sum remains unknown, but some reports suggest it could be as high as $5.5 million.

It seems the definition of “cut-off” may differ in royal terms.

Adding to the confusion, it was revealed that the Sussexes declined the option to give their son Archie the title of Earl of Dumbarton.

According to multiple sources cited by The Telegraph, Harry and Meghan feared that Archie might be bullied or attract unfortunate nicknames if he had a Scottish title.

However, it was previously believed that their decision to forgo a title for their son was driven by a desire for him to have a normal life, rather than a lack of interest in the title offered.

Another perplexing situation arose concerning the $921,000 earrings given to Meghan as a wedding gift by Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Meghan wore these earrings to a state dinner in 2018, just three weeks after the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

At the time, it was reported that the earrings were borrowed.

However, royal biographer Robert Lacey revealed that Meghan’s claim of borrowing the jewels was likely an attempt to avoid acknowledging their controversial origins.

The earrings were actually registered as property in the name of the Queen, making Meghan’s statement technically correct but raising questions about her awareness of their Saudi origins.

These revelations come on the heels of the recent controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan’s use of the Queen’s lifelong nickname for their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

The BBC reported that the Queen was never consulted about the name, a claim that Buckingham Palace has not denied.

Furthermore, it was discovered this week that the Sussexes had purchased the domain name for Lilibet Diana before receiving approval from the Queen, creating further uncertainty about the timeline of events.

The repeated instances of misleading statements and contradictions have raised concerns about the credibility of Harry and Meghan.

While they raise important questions about the monarchy and present themselves as authentic and emotionally forthright individuals, their tendency to bend the truth undermines their credibility.

They may genuinely believe their version of events, such as their claim of a secret wedding before the public ceremony, but their commitment to their preferred narrative cannot alter the reality.

In the words of philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, “The truth is a snare… You cannot have the truth in such a way that you catch it, but only in such a way that it catches you.”

Perhaps it is time for the Sussexes to reflect on the importance of aligning their truth with the cold, hard facts.
