Charles Bestows Spencer Tiara on Charlotte, Foiling Meghan’s Surname Change Plot
Reports have emerged that Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, has bestowed the Spencer tiara upon his daughter Charlotte.
The tiara was famously worn by Diana on her wedding day to Prince Charles and has been a subject of controversy recently due to Meghan Markle’s alleged plot to take ownership of it.
Meghan is accused of conspiring to use the Spencer surname to be seen as a member of the family.
Tom Bauer, a royal commentator, revealed that Harry and Meghan had discussed taking the Spencer surname and giving up their Sussex titles.
They were actively trying to recast themselves as Harry and Meghan Spencer, with Harry also taking his mother’s name.

However, Meghan’s plan to possess the tiara through a surname change has been foiled due to Charlotte officially wearing the tiara to confirm ownership.
This news has reportedly upset Meghan’s plans as she always believed that the Spencer tiara was meant for her and not someone in the Spencer family.
It is no secret that Meghan has been obsessed with the late Princess Diana since childhood and appears to still be so as a middle-aged woman.
Meghan’s desire to possess the tiara and take on the Spencer surname can be seen as an attempt to emulate Diana and cement her place in the royal family.
However, Meghan’s plan to take on the Spencer surname may not be legally possible as she is not a blood royal.
Legally, she is and always will be Rachel Meghan Markle.

The rumors about who will inherit the tiara after Charles Spencer have apparently been drummed up by the press, claiming that William is close with his uncle and has asked if his mother’s namesake tiara can be given to Charlotte someday.
William’s friend also talks about little Charlotte’s feelings about the tiara, claiming that the princess is giddy with excitement about having the jewel all to herself one day.
