Sovereign Harry is facing the loss of yet another royal role, as the deadline for him and his wife Meghan to vacate Frogmore Cottage has passed.

The historic Grade II listed residence has been the Sussexes’ base in the UK since their wedding in 2018.

Today was the cutoff point for the couple to leave the Windsor property, with their final belongings being sent to their home in Montecito, California.

However, a royal expert has determined that Harry can no longer act as a guide of state, as he no longer has a home in the UK, according to Imperial analyst Richard Fitz Williams, who spoke to The Sun.

Losing their UK home without a replacement is a significant development.

The main implication, however, is that it means he can no longer act as a guide of state, which is immensely important because in theory he had the right to do this.

Advisors of state carry out sovereign duties such as signing documents.

The current advisors of state are the sovereign’s consort, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Sussex, the Duke of York, and Princess Beatrice.

Last year, Charles suggested that his other siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, be added to the list.

The proposed change was read out to the House of Lords, with the intention of ensuring the continued efficiency of public business when the sovereign is unavailable, such as when undertaking official duties abroad.

Now that Harry and Meghan no longer have Frogmore Cottage, it has been revealed that they would need to come to a confidential agreement with the sovereign to stay at any royal residences in the future.

Harry most recently stayed at Frogmore when he flew back to London for a three-day visit as part of a legal dispute.

They are understood to no longer have a home in the UK and are rumored to have to rely on family, friends, or hotels during any future visits to the UK.

Regarding the couple’s departure, former servant Sir Michael Stevens said, “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.”

He added that the property has undergone renovations in recent years, leaving the crown with a significantly improved asset.

According to reports, it is not the only vacant home within the royal family, as several royal properties are said to be unoccupied amid renewed scrutiny of royal spending.

The Sussexes have now left their Frogmore Cottage home for good following their move to the US.

As a result, Prince Harry is unable to fulfill his role as a guide of state.

This marks another significant change in the couple’s royal status, as they continue to forge their own path outside the traditional confines of the monarchy.
