NBA great Shaquille O’Neal is the latest to claim that Stevie Wonder isn’t blind, narrating an interesting meeting with the singer.

O’Neal was co-hosting “Inside The NBA” when he delivered a short story that he guaranteed “you’re not gonna believe.”

One of the most dominating players in NBA history resides in the same apartment building in Los Angeles as the music star and ran into him in the elevator one day.

“It’s a true story,” O’Neal begins.

“We live in a building on Wilshire Boulevard, you park your car and the valets down there.

“I’m already in the building and coming through the lobby. (Elevator) Door opens and it’s Stevie Wonder.

“He comes in, says ‘what’s up Shaq.’ Presses the button, it’s a true story, presses the button, gets off on his floor by himself, goes to his room. I went and called every person I knew and told the story. They didn’t believe me.

“He got on the elevator was like ‘what’s up Shaq, how you doing big dog?’ got out and gone. Yes he did.”

Wonder, 69, was born six weeks prematurely, and problems led to his blindness shortly after birth, according to his official biography.

He also attended the Michigan School for the Blind.

Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson obviously didn’t believe the story when they started laughing halfway through, but O’Neal keeps going.

Lionel Richie, the legendary singer, seems to be doubtful as well. According to Us Weekly, during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the “American Idol” judge stated, “I’m going to tell you something. I’ve been spending my whole life with him thinking he can see. I know he can see. Listen [to] the story I tell that’s the funniest. I went to his house. He says, ‘Wanna hear a new song? I’ve got it in the car. C’mon, go with me.’”

Richie said Stevie instructed him, saying, “You sit on the passenger side, I’ll sit on the driver’s side. He cranks the car up, he puts the tape in, right? And then he does this [turns around] and starts driving back down the driveway.”

Darryl Dawkins, an NBA great, has also said that he believes Wonder is deceiving the public and can see much more than he admits.

Stevie told The Guardian in 2012 that his blindness was not a hindrance. “Do you know, it’s funny but I never thought of being blind as a disadvantage, and I never thought of being black as a disadvantage. I am what I am. I love me! And I don’t mean that egotistically — I love that God has allowed me to take whatever it was that I had and to make something out of it,” he said.

Theorists went crazy when Wonder grabbed a falling microphone while standing on stage during a performance of The Beatles’ song Hey Jude in 2014.
