Prince George also went to Wembley Stadium to support England’s football team once again.

England is in the European Championship final for the first time in history, and Prince George was not going to miss out on the opportunity to cheer for his side. The little prince was at Wembley Stadium today with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to support the Three Lions (and the rest of the English population).

Before the game, the oldest Prince of Cambridge sang “God Save the Queen” with his mother and father in the grandstand, and he was joined in a sold-out Wembley Stadium, with thousands of fans hoping to see England win the trophy.

The match was held in London, so the family didn’t have to travel far.

George, the young prince, was dressed in a navy suit with a blue shirt and a red striped tie, identical to his previous appearance at a Euro match. Prince William, who is also the President of the Football Association, matched his son’s outfit once again. Duchess Kate donned a white jacket and top by London designer Blaiz, as well as eye-catching red earrings. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a red and white dress in honor of England’s flag.

When England scored its first goal in the opening five minutes of the game, the royal trio was overjoyed. Prince William jumped to his feet, while Prince George embraced both of his parents lovingly. ]

Italy won the European title for the first time since 1968 in a nail-biter of a match that came down to penalty kicks.

David Beckham and Tom Cruise were also in attendance, fist bumping after the early goal.

Prior to England’s first final participation since 1966, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth sent a personal greeting to squad manager Gareth Southgate.

“55 years ago I was fortunate to present the World Cup to Bobby Moore and saw what it meant to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football tournament,” Her Majesty said.

“I want to send my congratulations and that of my family to you all on reaching the final of the European Championships, and send my good wishes for tomorrow with the hope that history will record not only your success but also the spirit, commitment and pride with which you have conducted yourselves,”she added.

In a special video message shared on Twitter, Prince William wished the whole squad success.

“Gareth, Harry, and to every member of the England team on or off the pitch, just want to wish you the very best of luck for tonight,” he said. “Can’t really believe this is happening. So exciting, and just wish you the very best of luck. You bring out the very best of England, and we are all behind, you the whole country is behind you. So bring it home.”

George is a big soccer fan, and this was his second time watching a game with his parents during the Euro competition. He previously joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the Round of 16 match between England and Germany on June 29. After that, England went on to win the quarterfinal against Ukraine and the semifinal against Denmark, which went to extra time.
