Prince Harry, 36, will become the first chief impact officer of BetterUp Inc, a San Francisco-based start-up that provides staff coaching and mental health help. The move comes roughly a month after Harry, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, and his American wife Meghan announced their ultimate separation and stated that they will not return to the royal family as working members.

The immigration status of British-born Prince Harry in the United States is shrouded in mystery. Meghan and Archie are not affected because they are US citizens.

According to a recent article in The Times, though Prince Harry is entitled to become a permanent resident of the United States and then a citizen, he will not pursue permanent residency and citizenship in the United States. According to a royal insider, “the Duke has not made an application for dual citizenship, and I don’t think he will apply for a green card at any point.”

Angela Levin, a royal expert, claims Harry is exploiting his royal status to gain money since he would not have gotten a job without the title.

Ms Levin told talkRADIO, “He doesn’t need the Green Card, he’s already got the O-1.

“He got the O-1 which is reserved for people who are a unique, incredibly special talent.

“It’s done for a couple of pop stars before him and now he can easily go into that and not worry about a Green Card because he’s a senior member of the Royal Family.

“That is using the royals to make money because otherwise, he wouldn’t have got the job.”

An O-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa for those of “extraordinary ability or achievement.” Individuals who can demonstrate a high degree of success in their industry frequently apply for the O-1.

To get an O-1 visa, Prince Harry must be sponsored by an entity that intends to work with him and indicate the disciplines in which he excels. An O-1 visa is initially granted for three years, after which it must be renewed each year. Given his charity efforts, Prince Harry will find it easy to demonstrate outstanding ability – the creation of the Invictus Games will very probably get him an O-1 visa.

Prince Harry would be instantly eligible for a Green Card as the husband of a US citizen.

According to the Immigration and Nationalization Act, if Prince Harry wishes to become a US citizen, he will be required to formally renounce any title or order of nobility he possesses before acquiring US citizenship. Despite the fact that the Queen has stripped Prince Harry and Meghan of several honorary military titles and royal patronages, they are still known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Furthermore, getting U.S. citizenship may force Prince Harry to pay worldwide taxes.

When the couple appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s television show, Meghan accused Britain’s royal family of racism and Harry said they had financially alienated him and his wife.

Penny Junor, a royal author, claimed Harry and Meghan’s racist and other claims in their bombshell Oprah interview “lobbed a huge bomb into the heart of the institution”
