Prince Harry’s possessions, which he left behind at Frogmore Cottage when he shifted to the United States, have allegedly been removed and stored.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have been living in Frogmore Cottage with their son.

After declaring intentions to stand down as senior working members of The Firm, the couple departed their UK home in 2020.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the United Kingdom at the beginning of the month to attend the unveiling of his mother’s monument before returning to his wife Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet in California.

According to The Sun, Windsor Castle employees “stripped” Harry and Meghan’s remaining possessions (including framed photographs) from the house after Harry’s travel to the U.K. for the installation of Princess Diana’s statue—though it’s unclear who ordered the removal.

According to sources, the items would subsequently be transported to Harry and Meghan’s £11 million home in Montecito, California.

“Staff from Windsor Castle were in Frogmore just days after Harry flew back to California after the statue unveiling. They cleared out his personal possessions such as framed pictures he had left behind in his and Meghan’s old bedroom.

“Harry had been staying in one end of the cottage, separated from Eugenie and her family. He stayed in his and Meghan’s old bedroom which was left largely untouched since he was last there.”

The rental arrangement expires next April, and royal insiders believe Harry’s decision to sign a four-book contract in which he’ll fully reveal his experiences makes it ‘impossible to conceive’ that they’ll return for the Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Meanwhile, The Sun speculates that the royal couple may “hand the luxury cottage back” in April, implying that they will likely find a new location to stay for future visits to England.

“Harry’s visits are often short and quick and I am pretty sure he and Meghan could find somewhere else to stay if they need to after April next year,” royal biographer Angela Levin said.

Despite their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and the fallout from it, the Queen was reported to have extended an olive branch to Harry and Meghan by inviting them to her Platinum Jubilee festivities next year.

It comes after Prince Harry decided this week to write a candid book on life in the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex stated in a statement: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story.

“The highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

According to industry experts, the Duke of Sussex’s declaration this week that he has written a book about life in the Royal Family is only the “tip of the iceberg”

According to sources, the Duke supervised the bidding and instructed publishing companies to start at £18 million, with the ultimate price potentially reaching £29 million, for a package deal of FOUR books.
