Prince Charles made a ‘clumsy mistake’ with baby Archie
A royal historian has called Prince Charles’ supposed refusal to allow Archie to become a prince as “clumsy”
Prince Charles has been rumored to seek to trim down the monarchy and save costs associated with the Royal family when he takes the throne.
“I think Prince Charles has probably been clumsy,” royal historian, broadcaster, and author Dr Tessa Dunlop said on the newest episode of Palace Confidential.
“He reminds me of the well-meaning, avuncular man in the corner who’s a bit out of date, who occasionally gaffes and gets things wrong.
“In his head, it would be simpler to have fewer princes and princesses.

“Prince Charles, a well-intentioned man, walked Meghan Markle down the aisle. He was ready and keen to welcome her into the family but he failed to recognise the wider implications of having a woman of colour in the contemporary Royal Family and what that meant for the potential reach, potential diversity, the voice in the Commonwealth.”
“And he dropped the ball, [i think] he should have done the exact opposite, which was ‘hey Meghan, I’m wanting to slim down the monarchy but instead I’m so going to make your Archie the biggest and best prince on the planet, oh except he’s never gonna be King’.”
The entire specifics of Charles’ idea for a slimmed-down monarchy have yet to be released, although conjecture suggests that full titles will be bestowed solely to heirs to the throne and closest family members.
The only two of Prince Charles’ offspring who do not have the titles of prince and princess are Archie Harrison and his younger sister Lilibet Diana.
According to the Mirror, only a small number of people will benefit from the Sovereign Grant and taxpayer-funded police protection.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the Duke of York’s children, are said to be in danger of losing their titles, financial assistance, and protection, according to experts.
Archie Harrison was apparently offered the opportunity to be styled as the Earl of Dumbarton, one of the Duke’s subsidiary titles, but Meghan Markle and Prince Harry declined.
Prince Charles is said to have not seen Archie Harrison in person since his parents took a six-week sabbatical from duty in November 2019.
