The “reinstatement” idea that Donald Trump will return to the White House now has a firm date, courtesy to the guy who claims to have planted the idea in the former president’s head.

The MyPillow CEO-turned-conspiracy-theorist says that the 13th of August, which falls on a Friday, will be the day when all of Trump’s bogus statements about the election being stolen will be proven true.

Lindell told Brannon Howse on the conservative WVW Broadcast Network on Sunday that Trump’s reinstatement “will be the talk of the world” by that date.

“Going, ‘Hurry up! Let’s get this election pulled down, let’s right the right. Let’s get these communists out’, you know that have taken over.”

Lindell didn’t want to speculate on what might happen to anyone accused of “stealing” an election that wasn’t truly stolen.

“Right now, the biggest concern is getting this election pulled down,” Lindell said, adding falsely: “Donald Trump won. I mean, it’s pretty simple.”

As Insider’s Jake Lahut and Grace Panetta reported, there is no legal way for Trump to be restored.

The precision contrasts sharply with Mr Lindell’s June statements to The Daily Beast, in which he stated that the August date was “subjective” but that he believed proof would be available by the end of the month.

“The month of August, for this, is subjective,” Mr Lindell told the outlet. “It is my hope that Donald Trump is reinstated, after all the proof comes out, by the end of August, but I don’t know if it’ll be that month, specifically. I started saying August … about four weeks ago. That was my estimation.”

He also projected that several down-ticket senators will see adjustments in vote totals.

Lindell has been a major proponent of the conspiracy theory that the 2021 presidential election was marred by significant voting fraud, creating documentaries, demonstrations, and even a social media site devoted to a pro-Trump viewpoint.

According to New York Times writer Maggie Haberman, Mr Trump told individuals on June 1 that he expects to be restored by August.

According to experts, “in the same way sharks can’t grow legs on command and stroll onto land,” the Supreme Court has no mechanism to reverse a presidential election.

The concept of Trump’s reinstatement has gained traction among conspiracy-minded Trump supporters, including lawyer Sidney Powell and Trump himself.

Twitter users had their own opinions, and many were concerned that Lindell’s bogus assertions might encourage others who were detached from reality.

One tweeted “Of course, what Nostradumbass is saying won’t happen… but the fact that Friday August 13 is LITERALLY National Kool-Aid Day is *chef’s kiss*” while another one adding; “Im glad Mike Lindell set August 13 as day Trump will be reinstated as President. Why? Simple Trump won’t be and Trumpers will cry. And few things bring me as much joy as the tears of Trumpers”

Several lawsuits filed by Trump and his supporters alleging widespread election fraud have been dismissed in court.

“Right now the biggest concern is, get this election pulled down, Donald Trump won, I mean it’s pretty simple, OK, and there were many down-ticket too that they did too and stuff, you’ll find all that out,” he said.
