Thomas Markle has threatened to take his estranged daughter Meghan and Prince Harry to court in order to see his grandkids.

After a falling out with his daughter in the run-up to her royal wedding with Prince Harry, the Duchess’s father has not met two-year-old Archie Harrison or newborn Lilibet Diana since they were born. The rift began when Thomas arranged a deal with paparazzi to stage photographs of him prepping for the big day.

The estranged father, 77, called the pair “bad” parents and said they made “mistakes” in parenting their kids in an explosive interview on Thursday.

He said: “I’m hoping Her Majesty the Queen and the people in England will stop and think about the mistakes and bad behaviour of their parents.

“I will be petitioning the California courts for the right to see my grandchildren in the very near future.”

The grandpa, a former Hollywood lighting director, accuses Harry and Meghan of exploiting the children as “pawns” in a video acquired by Fox News.

‘We shouldn’t be punishing [Lili] for Meghan and Harry’s bad behavior,’ he said from his home in Rosarito, Mexico, some 70 miles from the Sussexes’ LA property.

‘Archie and Lili are small children. They’re not politics. They’re not pawns. They’re not part of the game. And they’re also royal and entitled to the same rights as any other royal.’

But he didn’t stop there; he also requested that his granddaughter Lilibet be baptized.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to ask Her Majesty the Queen, the British family, the royal family, to allow Lily to receive her baptism and first christening at the Queen’s church.

The former Hollywood lighting director also shared his thoughts on Prince Harry’s memoir announcement during the conversation.

The book, which has a rumored $20 million advance, will cover his life’s “highs and lows, mistakes, and lessons learned,” as well as the Megxit debacle last year.

He said, “Harry doesn’t have too much more to tell.”

“After three sessions with the psychiatrists and Oprah Winfrey, I don’t know what more is there to tell.”

A representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Fox News that “this is not something they would comment on”

Harry intends to convey “his story” in the book, as he noted in a statement: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man, I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

On several instances, Thomas Markle has publicly chastised the Sussexes.

Last month, Thomas sat down with 60 Minutes Australia and had an emotional conversation about his daughter.

He said, “On July 18, I’ll be 77 years old. Most of the Markle men don’t make it much past 80. I might never see my grandchildren.”

“All I can say is that I hope eventually I get to see these grandchildren of mine. I’m a pretty good grandpa.”

He added that even “axe murderers” are visited by their family after the birth of their grandchildren, and that he was “disappointed” to have to learn about his new granddaughter through a public announcement.

‘Of course it hurts, there are axe murderers in prison and their family comes to see them,’ he said in the shocking 60 Minutes interview.

‘I’m not an axe murder. I made one dumb mistake and I’ve been punished for it. This show they’ve been on, they talk about compassion, there’s no compassion for me, no compassion for my family, and no compassion for the world.

‘If I had done something terribly wrong, that would be fine, but I haven’t.’

‘I’ll be very disappointed that I don’t get to hold my granddaughter,’ he said.

Meghan’s father also stated that Queen Elizabeth and the Royals would be “welcomed” at his house.

He said: “Of course they would be invited to my home at any time.”

Meghan hasn’t talked to Thomas since she married her now-husband in 2018.
