Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s foray into the world of Hollywood has hit a roadblock, according to a royal commentator.

Danielle Elser, an experienced royal reporter, has expressed skepticism about Meghan and Harry’s future with Netflix.

She points out that not only has the streaming giant’s dominance in the entertainment industry been challenged, but the promising prospects of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also become uncertain.

Elser highlights that Harry and Meghan have struggled to establish themselves as influential figures in Washington, New York, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles.

The allure of their royal status has diminished over the past two years, along with their ability to strike lucrative deals.

Since announcing Harry’s memoir in July 2021, they have failed to make any other significant ventures.

In early 2020, Meghan and Harry stepped down from their senior positions within the royal family and relocated to the US to start afresh.

They subsequently signed multi-million pound deals with Netflix and Spotify.

However, their output has been limited.

Meghan’s upcoming podcast, “Archetypes,” aimed at challenging stereotypes faced by women, was announced in March but has seen no further developments.

Netflix, on the other hand, has only officially announced Harry’s documentary, “Heart of Invictus,” and Meghan’s animated children’s series, “Pearl.”

Unfortunately, the animated show was recently canceled as part of Netflix’s cost-cutting measures.

The lack of content from the Sussexes has raised questions about their achievements.

Danielle Elser highlights that if they had been consistently producing series, documentaries, and specials for Netflix over the past two years, the situation might be different.

However, that hasn’t been the case.

With Netflix laying off staff and introducing advertising to its platform, it remains uncertain whether the company can continue to support high-profile stars who fail to deliver.

The same concerns apply to Spotify, where time is running out before autumn begins.
