Despite her love for horses and carriage driving, Lady Louise Windsor was not seen at this year’s Royal Ascot.

Fans of the British Royal Family have been wondering why the 19-year-old did not join the rest of the family at the prestigious event.

Some fans speculated that Lady Louise might not be old enough to attend, but the age limit for the event is 10, and she is already 19, the same age as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie when they first started attending the event.

Others suggested that Lady Louise’s educational obligations may have prevented her from attending.

The teenager is currently studying for a degree in English and is finishing her first year at St Andrew’s University in Scotland.

It is likely that her studies will take precedence over Royal events.

Lady Louise is known for sharing a love of horses with her late grandmother, the Queen, and for taking the wheel of a carriage like her late grandfather, Prince Philip.

Despite their parents’ prominent roles in the monarchy, Lady Louise and her younger brother James, Earl of Wessex, are not currently working in the Royal family.

They were notably absent from King’s First Party, Trooping the Colour, earlier this month.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s daughter and son did not join their parents or extended family at the event or for a balcony appearance to watch the RAF fly past.

Lady Louise did attend the King’s coronation last month, where the Queen appeared in a beautiful lilac floral dress.

Fans praised her adult look, with one writing on Twitter, “‘She looked amazing and really is on her way to being young.”

Another commented on her beautiful presence at Royal events, while a third described her as a fashion icon.

It’s not uncommon for members of the Royal family to miss events due to other commitments, but Lady Louise’s absence has been particularly notable given her passion for horses and carriage driving.

It’s possible that she may attend future Royal Ascot events once her studies are completed, or when her schedule allows.

Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex, are the children of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
