Kate Middleton was ‘in tears at the Palace’ over wedding dress
Kate Middleton was the most beautiful bride when she put on her first tiara and went down the aisle to meet her prince and become the Duchess of Cambridge.
However, the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, was left heartbroken in the run-up to her wedding as information about her gown was published.
The wedding, which was watched by almost two billion people across the globe, took months of planning and preparation.
She was trying to keep her outfit secret before she walked down the aisle. However, the designer of the gown was disclosed in some way.

Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen created Kate’s gorgeous white gown with lace sleeves, which became well-known before the wedding.
Kate initially became aware of Burton’s work when attending Tom Parker Bowles’ wedding in 2005, when she had created the bride Sara Buys’ gown.
Katie Nicholl, a royal specialist, spoke about how furious the Duchess was in Channel 5’s series Secrets of the Royal Dressmakers.
“Behind the scenes I think that caused tears at the Palace because Kate had done everything she could to keep the wedding dress a secret,” she said.
“A fashion source said that the dress will be a combination of Middleton’s own design ideas and Burton’s deep knowledge and understanding of high fashion,” said an article in The Sunday Times at the time.
“Middleton had hoped to keep Burton’s name quiet until the wedding,” the report said.
On March 6, almost two months before the big day, the Sunday Times reported that Sarah had won the coveted commission.
While there was some tension leading up to the festivities, Kate seemed unconcerned on the day and wore a broad smile from beginning to end.
Burton also did all she could to keep the journalists at bay by denying any role in the dress’s creation until the day of the wedding, when Kate emerged from Westminster Abbey.
To represent ‘something old,’ Burton employed traditional Carrickmacross craftsmanship, which goes back to the 1800s, to create the clothing.
The lovely bride, who wore an ivory gown with satin bodice, lace sleeves, and a 2.7m train, wowed fans all over the world.
Experts believe Kate’s dress reveal was exceptional since no one had seen it before the big day.
“Everybody loved Kate’s dress. That excitement when she stepped out, it was just ‘wow’,” designer Caroline Castigliano stated on the show.
“Incredible. She looked sensational. Even now it gives me butterflies.”
The Royal School of Needlework created Kate’s veil.
Kate’s gown included a 2.7-meter train, 58 buttons made of gazar and organza, and rouleau loops for fastening.
On April 29, the pair marked their tenth wedding anniversary.
