Friends fear that ‘it’s impossible for William to ‘trust’ Harry again

Despite putting on an unified look to honor their mother, Princess Diana, Princes William and Harry’s close relatives and friends are split on whether their broken relationship can ever be mended.

The duo entered the Sunken Garden together, and Harry clapped his hands in anticipation.

Sources close to Diana’s family claim they are “hopeful” that the two princes can mend their long-standing feud, while others close to the duo believe it is “almost impossible for Harry to be trusted”.

Harry is expected to travel to the UK this summer, and he has provided his family with no firm plans for when he will likely return to the UK with his family.

Many royals, including the Queen and the Prince of Wales, have only seen his son a few times and have yet to meet his newborn daughter.

Archie is said to have only met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge twice in his whole life.

A source said: “Despite William and Harry coming together this week for the sole cause of commemorating their mother’s legacy, Harry is very much on the outside.

“They put on a show, did what they had to do to make sure the day went without a hitch and said goodbye.

“It was nothing more, there was nothing to discuss. Things are still far too raw for William and other members of the family to entertain Harry, so it’s best to let things lie for the moment.”

On Thursday, the two princes seemed to be at ease in each other’s company as they visited Kensington Palace’s newly renovated Sunken Garden, Diana’s favorite location in her old home.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, their former private secretary and Prince George’s godfather, welcomed them.

Harry was overjoyed to meet his mother’s side of the family, Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, while William seemed more melancholy, as though deep in contemplation.

“On the one hand, you have Diana’s family, as well as members of the royal family, who will be holding on to any crumbs of hope that the two brothers will repair their relationship, and on the other hand, some definitely feel the damage is done and it is almost impossible for Harry to be trusted again,” another source close to the pair told the Mirror.

Just days earlier, Harry and Meghan, 39, made a series of bombshell accusations in an appearance with Oprah Winfrey.

The most damning allegation of all was that an unidentified member of the Royal Family made a racial remark regarding the skin color of son Archie.

The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that she was barred from getting mental health help while she was in crisis, and that she felt suicidal when pregnant with Archie.

Since then, Harry and William, who were previously close, have only spoken through text a few times until he returned to the UK last week for the statue’s unveiling on Thursday.

Not long after, Prince Harry was seen at Heathrow Airport, ready to go back to Meghan Markle, who remained in the United States after giving birth daughter Lilibet last month.
