Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp had an affair when she was still married to Brad Pitt, according to the Globe.

The two were reportedly more than just coworkers. In the midst of the latter’s continuing defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, it was discovered that the two actors, who portrayed on-screen lovers in “The Tourist” were intimately engaged in the past.

While there were no apparent indications of a sexual connection between the two at the time, Depp and Jolie talked highly of one another throughout their film’s press tour.

“She’s kind of a walking poem, Angelina,” Depp remarked at the time in an interview.

In “Edward Scissorhands,” Jolie confessed to having a crush on Depp, who described her as a “a walking poem.”

“This is a major nightmare for Angelina in so many ways, not least because her outrageous past is coming back to bite her in the butt. She and Johnny were so coy about their white-hot connection at the time, even though their romance was an open secret. They got lucky because no one had the smoking gun on it,” the source explained.

It’s unknown when Jolie and Depp reportedly became intimate behind the scenes, although they were shooting the thriller directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck in 2010. She was still in a relationship with her then-longtime boyfriend Brad Pitt at the time, while Depp was in a long-term relationship with Vanessa Paradis from 1998 until their separation in 2012.

Angelina was reportedly “smitten” with Depp for years before they eventually met, according to an extract from Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography:

“Angie was smitten with actor Johnny Depp, who played Edward [Scissorhands], an isolated figure with scissors for hands who lives in an attic and falls for the teenage daughter of a suburban family.

The movie’s themes of alienation and self-discovery spoke to the angst-ridden Angie.”

Jolie also praised Depp, calling him a “brilliant actor,” a “nice guy,” and “so funny,” adding that the two couldn’t stop laughing while shooting together.

Because Jolie and Pitt are currently battling for custody of their children, the former is reportedly concerned that the infidelity scandal will make it more difficult for her to win the case.

“The last thing Angelina needs is to be crossed-examined about her relationship with Johnny, not least because she was with Brad at the time. There’s talk bisexual Amber was kind of obsessed with Angie, so Jolie’s central to the plotline whether she likes it or not,” the source said.

The alleged sexual connection between Depp and Jolie is not the only item revealed in court papers. The 57-year-old actor reportedly had intimate relationships with Marion Cotillard and Keira Knightley, according to The Hollywood Reporter and confirmed by Vulture.

According to the National Enquirer, Jolie has been included as a defendant in Depp and Heard’s defamation suit. According to a source, Jolie and Pitt cheated on each other throughout their relationship.

“She’s terrified it will shatter her image as a mother and a humanitarian. Angie and Brad both had their fun but kept their sexy secrets under wraps. Now, they’re worried everyone will get a glimpse of what their kinky marriage was really like,” said the insider.
