In a recent debate on talk TV’s Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sir Trevor Phillips unleashed a scathing attack on Meghan Markle, accusing her of mishandling her black identity.

Phillips, a renowned race and equality campaigner, claimed that the Duchess of Sussex never considered herself black until she joined the royal family.

He attributed this to her privileged upbringing, growing up in the affluent black enclave of Parkview, Windsor Hills in Los Angeles.

According to Phillips, Meghan failed to heed advice after becoming a princess and missed an opportunity to showcase the diversity of Britain.

He argued that anyone from a black background would know that issues of race were not her area of expertise.

He also addressed the controversy surrounding the alleged discussion about Archie’s skin color, stating that speculating about a child’s appearance is a common topic within black families.

During her Spotify podcast Archetypes, Meghan opened up about her mixed race identity, revealing that she only started to understand what it meant to be treated as a black woman when she began dating Prince Harry.

However, Phillips criticized her for not effectively navigating her black identity while in the public eye, suggesting that she made a mess of it by disregarding advice.

Moving on to Meghan and Harry’s business ventures, their multi-million dollar Netflix deal now hangs in the balance, following the recent termination of their Spotify agreement.

The couple reportedly faced challenges while working on their projects at Netflix, causing strain on their partnership.

The Archetypes podcast was not renewed by the platform, leaving the Sussexes disappointed.

Additionally, a top Spotify executive labeled them as “grifters,” further exacerbating their troubles.

The uncertainty surrounding their Netflix deal adds to the woes of Prince Harry and Meghan.

After stepping down from their royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the United States, their future in the entertainment industry remains uncertain.

Closer Make and Scene magazine reported that Netflix may sever ties with the couple, potentially putting their £78 million ($98 million) agreement at risk.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex navigate these challenges, it is clear that their journey has not been without obstacles.

The criticism of Meghan’s handling of her black identity, combined with the uncertainty surrounding their business ventures, presents a new chapter in their post-royal lives.

Only time will tell how they overcome these hurdles and shape their future endeavors.
