Prince Harry, once part of a close-knit group of friends, has seen a significant shift in his inner circle.

Growing up, both Prince Harry and Prince William were surrounded by a tight-knit group of pals, many of whom even became godparents to their children.

However, several factors have contributed to Harry losing old friends and gaining new ones.

One major factor is his move to California with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

The couple’s decision to relocate across the pond has undoubtedly affected their friendships.

Additionally, relations between Harry and his brother, Prince William, are said to be at an all-time low, further impacting his social circle.

It has been reported that Harry now only has six close friends remaining in Britain.

However, even within this small circle, there seems to be a reluctance to challenge the prince when he makes questionable decisions.

This lack of accountability may be due to the royal status of his friends, who may feel hesitant to confront him.

One friend who has been by Harry’s side since childhood is Tom Inskip, affectionately known as Skippy.

Tom’s father, Owen Inskip, is a close friend of King Charles and serves as the fieldmaster for his favorite hunt, the Beaufort.

Skippy and Harry became friends during their time at Eton, and they shared many memories, including their joint venture of setting up a nightclub in the basement of Highgrove.

However, rumors circulated on social media early in Harry and Meghan’s relationship, suggesting that Tom Inskip had met Meghan before Harry did.

This alleged encounter may have led to Skippy’s skepticism about the relationship, ultimately resulting in his removal from Harry’s inner circle.

Skippy has stood by Harry through various scandals, including the infamous 2010 incident where Harry was photographed inhaling hippy crack at a party.

Another scandal involved Harry being photographed n^ked during a game of strip billiards in Las Vegas in 2012.

Tom was present during both incidents, showcasing their long-standing friendship.

Despite their close bond, trouble brewed between the childhood pals when Skippy questioned Meghan’s suitability as a future royal.

The doubts expressed by Tom Bauer, a close friend of Harry’s, led to a significant falling out.

Bauer reveals that Harry had invited 16 of his oldest friends from Eton to join him for a weekend at Sandringham.

However, the presence of Meghan challenged and exhausted the guests, as she confronted anyone whose conversations contradicted her values.

According to Bauer, Meghan lacked any sense of humor and dampened the atmosphere of the gathering.

Her strong opinions on topics such as sexism, feminism, and transgender issues clashed with the banter and jokes shared among the group.

This clash of values left many of Harry’s friends stunned and questioning his choice of partner.

The strain on their friendship extended to Harry and Meghan’s wedding celebrations.

While Skippy and other close friends attended the church service and reception, they were excluded from the private evening party at Frogmore House.

This exclusion was seen as payback from Meghan, who seemingly holds grudges.

In the 2020 book “Finding Freedom,” authors Omid Scobie and Caroline Durand shed light on Tom Inskip’s concerns about the rapid pace of Harry and Meghan’s relationship.

Tom advised Harry to live with Meghan before making any further serious commitments.

However, Harry did not appreciate this advice, leading to further strain on their friendship.

As a consequence of their falling out, Skippy and his wife Lara were reportedly punished by being excluded from Harry and Meghan’s intimate evening wedding party at Frogmore Cottage.

This exclusion further solidified the rift between the once-close friends.

Prince Harry’s inner circle has undergone a significant transformation in recent times.

While he may have lost some old friends, he has also gained new ones.
