Prince George and Princess Charlotte Participate in Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral Procession
Prince George IX and Princess Charlotte VII, the eldest children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, surprised the world by taking part in Queen Elizabeth’s official funeral procession.
Despite their reputation for angelic behavior, it seems that even the royal children can have their moments of misbehavior.
This was evident during the funeral of their great-grandmother, as reported by My London.
Last month, Princess Charlotte and Prince George accompanied their mother to bid their final goodbyes to Queen Elizabeth II at the royal funeral and committal service.
After the emotional send-off, the young royals joined their parents at Wellington Arch to witness the transfer of the Queen’s casket to the State Hearst before it was taken to Windsor.

During this time, lip-reader Jeremy Freeman noticed an amusing interaction between George and Charlotte.
George appeared to try to pinch his sister while they waited behind King Charles and other senior royals.
The Princess let out a cry of pain before turning to her brother and exclaiming, “Oww!”
Some royals, including Meghan Markle, found the exchange amusing, but Queen Consort Camilla seemed annoyed.
She frowned and pointed at Charlotte before turning to Catherine and saying, “Take her!”
This brief exchange was caught on live television, and attentive viewers immediately noticed the disagreement between Charlotte and George.
One Twitter user commented, “Looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a small disagreement.
Look at the Queen Consort Camilla.”
Another user speculated about Charlotte’s words, asking, “Why did Charlotte say when she turned back around it was wow?
Ow!
Cow!”
According to other lip-readers, there were more cute exchanges between the siblings at the Arch.
At one point, Charlotte was seen mouthing something to George, which was decoded as, “You need to bow!”
It seemed that Charlotte was reminding her brother of royal protocol, instructing him to bow as the coffin passed by.
George, looking smart in a navy blue suit, nodded in response.
Despite the debate surrounding their behavior, parenting experts praised Catherine for her handling of the situation during the state funeral.
Angela Caranga, creator of Raising Remarkable Teenagers and a parenting expert, commended Catherine for not just correcting Charlotte but also taking the time to connect with her.
Caranga emphasized the importance of connection before correction, stating that it shows love and support to the child.
The three children of Prince William and Princess Catherine are no strangers to attending public royal occasions, some of which are televised live.
They have generally been well-behaved, and last year, they joined their parents in attending the platinum jubilee of the late sovereign.
Additionally, they were photographed waving to fans and watching a spectacular fly-past from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, showcasing their future roles as senior royals.
As second and third in line to the throne, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are expected to attend King Charles III’s coronation on May 6, 2023.
Their anticipated presence at this significant event will serve as preparation for their future roles.
