Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Approval of Omid Scobie’s New Book Raises Questions About the Future of the Royal Family
A royal commentator has suggested that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have given their approval for Omid Scobie’s upcoming book, “Endgame,” which is set to be released on November 21st.
Scobie himself took to Twitter to describe his book as a deep investigation into the future of the royal family, promising readers unique insights, exclusive revelations, and unparalleled access.
However, Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, believes that the royal family is unlikely to take the book seriously due to their ongoing feud with the Sussexes.
He expressed his doubts to the Mail, stating that the book will be assumed to have been written with the couple’s approval, just like their previous work, “Finding Freedom.”
Fitzwilliams also raised concerns about what lies ahead, suggesting that it is the Sussexes who are fighting for survival, contrary to what the blurb of “Endgame” implies.
Trending:
Reports indicate that Scobie has delayed the release of his book in order to include sensational details about the king’s coronation.
Originally scheduled for August, the publication date has been pushed back by three months.
Last month, Prince Harry attended his father’s crowning ceremony alone, while Meghan Markle remained in the United States.
Speculation suggests that Harry may provide Scobie with behind-the-scenes information, as a way of repaying him for his support and loyalty.
The question arises: what kind of juicy details might be revealed?
During his brief visit for the coronation, there were no signs of any reconciliation between Harry and the rest of his family.
Some believe that he has severed ties with them completely, leaving him with no insider information or contacts.
However, this doesn’t seem to deter Scobie, who relies heavily on information provided by the Sussexes themselves.
He has the freedom to embellish the narrative as he pleases, such as claiming that the queen told Meghan that a particular tiara suited her.
Nevertheless, Harry’s publisher may not be pleased if it is discovered that he shared valuable information with a rival publisher, potentially jeopardizing his book deal.
It’s worth noting that Scobie has been blacklisted by the palace and openly admitted to having only one source in California, who hasn’t been part of the monarchy for nearly three years.
In Meghan’s court case against Associated Newspapers in 2020, she confessed to assisting the authors of “Finding Freedom” with certain details, but insisted that the information came from a third party, not directly from her.
Mr. Fitzwilliams also revealed that the Sussexes have reportedly signed a four-book deal with Random House, hinting at more revelations to come after the release of Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” in January.
Within the royal circle, there is a sense of unease about the potential claims Meghan Markle could make about the royal family if she were to release her own autobiography.
Some fear the impact it could have on the firm’s reputation.
Angela Levin, a commentator, recently expressed skepticism about Meghan’s credibility but predicted that her memoir would still be successful.
During an episode of GB News, Levin and Dan Wooten discussed Meghan’s future following the termination of a significant deal with Spotify.
Levin acknowledged the criticisms against Meghan and the dent they have made in her credibility.
However, she remains confident that the public’s curiosity will drive sales of her memoir, despite the expectation of alleged exaggerations and untruths.
