Margot Robbie, now one of Hollywood’s most well-known actresses, made her mark in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. Despite the fact that it was her breakthrough role, the film was not without difficulties, notably when it came to one of the film’s (many) sex scenes.

Robbie was naturally apprehensive about filming a sex scene in The Wolf of Wall Street.

She has revealed her embarrassment doing a raunchy sex scene in front of a 30-male crew.

The Australian actress starred with Leonardo DiCaprio as Naomi LaPaglia in the blockbuster 2014 film and made headlines for a sequence in which she seduced her on-screen spouse, Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio).

As Margot Robbie said, the moment was quite unpleasant for her:

“It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in. All men. For 17 hours I’m pretending to be touching myself. It’s just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and the absurdity, really deep, and fully commit”.

Margot Robbie managed to get the job done despite the discomfort of the circumstance. She seemed to have pushed herself to get over it, to forget about being ashamed or how strange and odd the situation was, and to simply do it. She produced one of The Wolf of Wall Street’s many unforgettable moments in the process.

She was dedicated, and as seen by her future performances, her dedication to her parts has made her one of the most brilliant and sought-after actors in the industry.

Margot, 28, had to strip off for the intimate bedroom scene, which wasn’t the most comfortable filming experience.

Jordan was a Wall Street stockbroker whose business was involved in corruption and fraud, which led to his ruin.

Since starring in the film, Margot’s career has taken off. She was previously known for her part in the television series “Neighbours.”

She is currently an Oscar-nominated actress who has appeared in films such as “I, Tonya,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Terminal.”

Robbie also confirmed the development of a Harley Quinn spin-off by uploading a snapshot of a script on her Instagram account.

Margot Robbie will next be seen in Mary Queen of Scots, which will be released in cinemas on December 7. She will play Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood next year.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about how difficult it is to film sex scenes, and it won’t be the last. There will always be some shame in these sorts of scenarios, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be made to feel more comfortable and safe for the performers involved.

HBO is taking moves in this direction. The cable channel, which is known for its graphic material, has hired an Intimacy Coordinator to work on TV series and films featuring sexually intimate sequences, with the objective of advocating for the actors and ensuring that they are as comfortable as possible with their sex scenes.
