Over the weekend, did anyone else watch The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window? Kristen Bell’s hilariously satirical murder mystery debuted on Netflix and was more or less a PG-13 experience until fans were treated with an extremely intense s-x scene featuring Kristen and [SPOILER] practically doing it all over her house. On the stairwell, in the pantry, on the counter, and in the shower, for example. Basically, they had s-x on whatever surface was available.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, a Twitter user named Eric described the agonizingly awful moment he had with his mother and girlfriend while watching a particularly racy scene.

“Just watched kristen bell get absolutely RAILED with my girlfriend and my mom in the same room,” he wrote.

Kristen reacted, “Hahahahaha sorry dude,” to which Eric replied, “You need to apologize to my mom right now.”

“i was genuinely so surprised that she actually saw it and responded,” the fan later told  another user, after changing his Twitter banner to a screenshot of Bell’s reply.

Anna, a newly divorced lady battling with an alcohol problem, spends her time, sad, looking out the front window of her suburban home in the eight-part series. When she sees a terrible death in her new neighbor’s living room, she begins to doubt everything and finally launches her own inquiry to find out what she did, or didn’t see.

Except, of course, genre norms demand that Kristen’s character be an unreliable narrator battling with alcoholism, and no one believes her and she hardly believes herself. But it doesn’t stop her from unraveling the riddle while having a lot of fun (and some steamy s-x) in the process.

“For heartbroken Anna (Bell), every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her,” the description reads. “But when a handsome neighbour (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?”

Netflix is currently streaming The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.
