Following the news that Harry and Meghan have ended their $20 million deal with Spotify, there has been much speculation about how the couple plans to sustain their lavish lifestyle.

Reports have emerged suggesting that the former royals are planning to sign a mega-bucks deal with fashion house Dior, but these rumors have since been denied.

Culture and brand expert Nick Eden has suggested that the couple may be trying to follow in the footsteps of Victoria and David Beckham by making money through brand deals.

“I think that Harry and Meghan are going to go down the brand route,” said Nick.

“Meghan has always loved this idea of creating this whole sort of lifestyle environment that people buy into.”

It’s no secret that Harry and Meghan were once big fans of Posh and Becks, and the A-list couple were among the many celebrity guests at their wedding in May 2018.

However, in his book Revenge, Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, Tom Bauer wrote that Meghan suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion, which led to a fallout between the couples.

Despite this, Nick believes that Meghan will see the financial benefits of working with brands in the way Beckham’s do, and he suggested that she’ll be keen to emulate the type of success David has had with the likes of Adidas, Tudor watches, and Hey Club.

“Eyewear, fragrances, hair care, and makeup are all the things that make money,” said Nick.

“If you look at Victoria Beckham, her fashion brand doesn’t make money, but her makeup and beauty range is one of the biggest sellers in the world.

I think Meghan will be eyeing that up and thinking, okay, I could probably do that and engage a great demographic of people.”

However, a source close to the Beckhams has insisted that neither Meghan nor Harry has the qualifications to keep up with these powerful couples.

The source stated that Meg is supposed to back my brand Beckham to replace their role in their Hollywood elite.

In the midst of all this speculation, it’s been reported that the couple could lose $77 million unless they come up with goods for Netflix.

So far, the Sussexes are believed to have been paid only half of the reported £81 million, estimated $154 million contract, and they will only get the rest of the money if they produce content of real interest, according to an industry source.

If they were to miss out on this remaining Netflix cash, and if you factor in up to the $15 million which they reportedly missed out on via cancellation of their Spotify deal, then Harry and Meghan could be down $92 million.

This is a significant sum of money, even for a couple who are accustomed to living a lavish lifestyle.

It’s clear that Harry and Meghan are facing a difficult time as they try to secure lucrative deals and maintain their status as high-profile celebrities.

With rumors swirling about their future plans, it remains to be seen what the couple will do next to sustain their lifestyle and secure their financial future.

One thing is for sure – Harry and Meghan are no longer speaking publicly about the royal family, as they have nothing left to say.

Instead, they intend to focus their attention on working behind the camera instead of in front of it.

Whether this will be enough to secure their financial future remains to be seen.
