Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the UK, has been at the center of recent discussions.

Reports indicate that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will need to come to a special agreement with King Charles if they have any plans of living in Royal residences in the future.

This development comes after the couple was given an eviction notice by the monarch earlier this year, resulting in their departure from Frogmore Cottage and leaving them without a base in the UK if they decide to return.

According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess will have to reach an agreement with King Charles if they wish to stay in any Royal homes again.

Since their departure from the Royal Family in 2020, the Sussexes have made a few visits to the UK and are believed to have stayed at Frogmore Cottage on their Windsor estate.

However, Sir Michael, the King’s senior financial advisor, has confirmed that the couple has indeed moved out of the property.

He stated, “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.

We shall not go into any detail of these arrangements here, except to say that, as previously mentioned, the Duke and Duchess paid the expenses incurred by the sovereign grant in connection with the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, thus leaving the Crown with vast amounts of money.”

In addition to vacating Frogmore Cottage, the Crown has also been granted a new lease on the property, resulting in improved assets for the monarchy.

It has been reported that Prince Harry recently stayed at the cottage during a three-day visit to the UK.

Furthermore, the couple is believed to have stayed there with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last summer.

Their wedding in 2018 marked the beginning of their connection to the Crown’s second son, Prince Andrew.

Interestingly, it has now been revealed that King Charles is interested in Prince Andrew downsizing his Royal Lodge in order to acquire the Frogmore estate.

However, reports suggest that Prince Andrew is refusing to move out of the home he currently shares with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

The couple currently resides in a 30-room home on a 75-year lease from the independent Crown estate.

A source earlier this year stated, “Andrew insists he stay at Royal Lodge for the remainder of his lease.

He will not move to Frogmore without a fight.

The Royal Lodge is his home, and he will do everything he can to stay on the property.”
