In the world of celebrities, relationships can often be complicated, and when it involves members of the royal family, it becomes even more intriguing.

Cressida Bonas, a well-known model and actor, recently opened up about her past relationship with Prince Harry and shed light on his struggles with the media.

Cressida and Harry were introduced by Princess Eugenie nine years ago and dated for approximately two years before parting ways amicably.

She even attended Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle and tied the knot herself last year with property investor Harry Wentworth Stanley.

It was widely believed that Cressida, like Harry’s previous girlfriend Chelsea Davy, wanted to avoid the constant media attention that comes with dating a member of the royal family.

However, according to the book “Battle of Brothers,” there may have been more to Cressida’s decision to end the relationship.

The book suggests that Cressida confided in friends about Harry’s “neurosis” regarding the media.

Even when there were no paparazzi around, he would complain about their presence.

Author Robert Lacey argues that this behavior might have taken a toll on their relationship, stating, “Even so, Cressida Bonas, his last serious girlfriend before Meghan Markle, came to feel he was a damaged and self-obsessed young man.

No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells it all.”

Prince Harry has been increasingly vocal about his mental health struggles in recent years.

In his Apple TV Plus series with Oprah Winfrey titled “The Me You Can’t See,” he revealed his experiences with anxiety and panic attacks.

Harry has also expressed his desire to leave his royal life behind, a sentiment he has had since his twenties.

He has been in therapy for around four years and credits his brother, Prince William, and his wife, Meghan Markle, for encouraging him to seek help.

Harry’s wariness of the media is well-known, and he has blamed the paparazzi for the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana.

In a 2019 interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby, he stated, “I will not be bullied into playing a game that killed my mum.”

Since stepping down as a senior royal last year, his criticism of the press has intensified.

He has discussed it not only in his Apple TV Plus series but also in his interview with Oprah Winfrey and on the Armchair Expert podcast.

During his conversations, Harry revealed that he used to experience anxiety and panic attacks while carrying out his royal duties.

He described feeling overwhelmed and constantly on edge.

The timeline of these struggles aligns with the period when he was dating Cressida, which may offer some insight into his alleged “neurosis” about the media.
