In a recent court case against Mirror Group newspapers (MGM), Prince Harry has blamed alleged press intrusions into his personal life for the breakdown of his relationship with Chelsea Davies.

The Duke of Sussex, along with other high-profile figures, has accused MGM of intercepting private voicemails, a claim that the company vehemently denies.

Harry’s witness statement, as reported by BBC, states that the relentless harassment he endured caused significant strain in his relationship with Miss Davies, ultimately leading her to realize that royal life was not for her.

These alleged unlawful activities not only caused distress but also raised serious safety concerns for both himself and those around him.

Furthermore, Harry claims that the press’s actions created an overwhelming sense of paranoia in his future relationships.

Whenever he was involved with someone, whether it was a confirmed relationship or mere speculation, that person’s entire family and often their friends were dragged into the chaos, subjected to the same unlawful activities allegedly committed by MGM, according to his lawyer.

However, Chelsea Davies vehemently denies these accusations made by Prince Harry.

Speaking at court, she dismissed his claims as complete fabrications.

Davies, a Zimbabwean-born businesswoman who dated Harry starting from 2004 when she was a student at Stowe School, described their relationship as frightening and uncomfortable.

In an interview with The Times, she revealed, “Yes, it was tough.

It was so full-on, crazy scary, and uncomfortable.

I found it very difficult when it was bad.

I couldn’t cope.

I was young, I was trying to be a normal kid, and it was horrible.”

The media extensively covered their relationship, and in a recent Apple TV Plus series on mental health with Oprah Winfrey titled “That’s Me, You Can’t See,” Harry himself spoke about the anxiety he experienced when faced with questioning from reporters during his royal duties.

He admitted, “Before I even left the house, I was sweating.

I was in fight or flight mode.

Panic attacks, severe anxiety, 28 to 32 was a nightmare for me.

I was freaking out every single time I got into a car and every single time I saw a camera.”

Harry also mentioned feeling emotionally drained by constantly absorbing other people’s energy during his public appearances.

Chelsea Davies faced relentless scrutiny regarding her relationship with Harry.

At the time, she was juggling a demanding career in leveraged law, working on back-to-back deals until the early hours of the morning.

The Daily Express reported that pictures of her leaving nightclubs were splashed across newspapers, giving the impression that she was constantly partying.

This, combined with the stress of dating a royal, took its toll on their relationship.

Davies explained, “I like to enjoy life, but I like to achieve things and I am very ambitious.

They can be forgiven for not knowing I was working really hard.

I shouldn’t shout about it.

If you go out once, they take a picture.

But they don’t take a picture of you doing work every morning.

It’s all of you falling out of a nightclub at 4 am.”

Throughout their time together, Harry was well aware of how the media’s relentless attention affected his girlfriend.

The ongoing court battle between Prince Harry and MGM sheds light on the complex dynamics between the press and the royal family.

While Harry claims that press intrusions caused significant strain in his relationship with Chelsea Davies, she vehemently denies these allegations.

As the case unfolds, it remains to be seen how the court will weigh the evidence presented by both parties.
