Young People admire Queen, Harry and Meghan more than William and Kate
According to study conducted by a youth mental health organization, the Queen is more respected by young people than Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Prince William.
Between May 26 and 29, Stem4 performed study on people aged 13 to 25. The Queen earned 25% of the vote, Harry earned 22%, and Meghan took third place with 21%. Following these three were Bill Gates (17%), Dr. Alex George (16%), Boris Johnson (14%), Kate Middleton (11%) and Prince William (10% ).
The most popular reasons for admiration were that “they are brave and resilient, and even when things go wrong and they are criticised, they carry on,” Stem4 revealed, adding that “they stand up for people’s rights and make society a better place.”
David Attenborough received 54 percent of the votes in the Inspirational Figures category, the most of any category. The Top Three were included on the list, along with Billie Eilish and Oprah Winfrey. Dr. Nihaura Krause, the founder and CEO of Stem4, said these people affected the young because they were honest about their personal mental health struggles.
“To earn the respect of young people today you don’t need to earn a fortune or have good looks.

“It’s far more important that you show bravery, resilience, and compassion for others and for nature.
“Those are certainly qualities the Queen shares with some of the other names on this list such as David Attenborough and Marcus Rashford.
“It’s also significant that many of the most admired famous people are those, like Billie Eilish and Prince Harry, who have been open about their own mental health challenges.
“Problems like anxiety, depression and self-harm are sadly very common among young people and it makes a huge difference to them when public figures have the courage to open up.”
On September 7, the United Kingdom will host the first-ever Youth Mental Health Day. The festival, which was founded by stem4, will promote youth mental health awareness and conversations so that they may have “happy and healthy lives.”
Princess Diana received a special mention from the charity in the area of public personalities.
