US Open Rejects Megan’s Request for Sponsorship Payment
In a surprising turn of events, the US Open organization board has declined Megan’s request to be paid for a sponsorship role.
This decision comes after Megan had previously attended the tournament to support her friend Serena Williams in the final.
However, her appearance at the event was not solely to cheer on Serena, but also to network with celebrities.
To increase her presence at future matches, Megan’s team reached out to the US Open offering their services as sponsors, with the expectation of financial compensation.
According to a source from Markle News 1, an email exchange between the Sussex team and the US Open revealed discussions about financial arrangements.

Megan was reportedly hoping for a six-figure payday for her support of the championship.
It is worth noting that even former champions do not receive such large sums of money to participate in these events.
This raised confusion when Megan contacted the US Open again, expressing her interest in participating in sponsorships.
The phrasing of her request was unclear, leaving the staff puzzled about her intentions.
Furthermore, Megan and her team emphasized their connections and ability to bring notable individuals who share similar values and ideas.
They believed that this would enhance the message of tennis and spread positivity.
However, it is debatable whether the US Open truly needs such efforts, as many individuals involved in the tournament aspire to elevate its celebrity engagement and prestige to match that of Wimbledon.
The US Open organization board, however, had a different vision.
They began inviting politicians and celebrities, offering them free tickets in exchange for their appearance.
Previous attendees included Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, and the Schlochberg family.
The board aimed to create an atmosphere akin to the renowned British tennis tournament.
Returning to Serena Williams’ match, she was defeated by Canadian player Bianca Andreescu.
Interestingly, this marked the third time Serena lost a match while Megan watched from the stands.
Some fans took to Twitter to express their belief that Megan was a jinx for Serena.
They suggested that her presence at the finals had negatively impacted Serena’s performance.
One fan jokingly stated that while Megan was a great friend, she seemed to bring bad luck to Serena.

These sentiments were echoed by a source close to Williams, who revealed that the tennis player’s coach had become superstitious about Megan attending her matches.
It was noted that Serena lost when Megan watched her at Wimbledon.
